**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

I think one of those Serbians may play a role next season, Ferguson got cover for Beckham before he left with Ronaldo, I think Ferguson knew he might leave so he got cover for him.

I think he will still buy someone on the account that he can't really rely on one guy to replace Ronaldo straight away.

Ribery would be good.

But then again Ronaldo got in so much revenues.

Portugal, Spain, Africa, China etc. All bought Ronaldo shirts. Not Rooney, Ferdinand, Carrick, Evra. Just Ronaldo!

They need someone that can replace the brand name that he bought along with him.

The last Galacticos from Real Madrid brought in around £600 Million in merchandising and revenue.

Because of the players that Madrid have they got a TV deal worth 1.2 Billion Euros!

It will get bigger with Ronaldo playing!

I think Ribery is a non starter to be honest, he is too expensive, a little to old ( i know he is only 25 or something) and I dont think he has the right attitude.

I'm sorry, but too old? He's a year older than Ronaldo, was he almost 'too old'?

I agree he's too expensive, but you really cant construct an argument to say he is too old, that is a potential 6-7 seasons left before he is even 31-32.

From what I've seen of german teams in europe recently, and the few games I do pick up, added to the other players who came from the German league and were absolutely horrible, throw in the fact that before Malouda/Ribery moved it was Malouda who looked better in the French team and for that reason that none of the big leagues went for Ribery and they went for Malouda instead, whose rather a flop and he "was" the better of the two several years ago.

But Malouda is absolutely class atm and i would be really dissapointed if we sold him. In his football focus interview he came across as really nice and eager to do well for chelsea as he loves his lifestyle in london.

I think that was just as he knows no-one else is going to give him a better offer at the moment, he's had a good couple of months but he's still too inconsistent:)

I think the other top 3 teams all had a giggle to themselves when Ronaldo was sold. I'm not a ManU fan but I dont think he is going to be replaceable even with two or three players.

Will be interesting to see who he brings in. Personally I wouldnt have sold him for a £100million with the prices kaka was being offered by City. I think they could have pushed it well above 100m.

Does anyone know much about Aguero, is he the sort of player Man.U. might go after?
Chelsea have very strong links with him now and he seems just the sort of player we need and I don't want to miss out on him to old moneybags :o

He's little and Argie, very similar to Tevez.

Can play as a forward or AM and is fantastic for MU on FM2009, even going as far as to resist the filthy Gypsy's in Madrid saying he loved Manchester United.

:D
