Another shocking video of police violence

I'd have tazered the ***** that came in at the end and obviously gave the officers a mouthful. ******.

/EDIT - Oh, and there is nothing wrong with them doing anything like that at all. He's obviously been a **** before the video to have even got that kind of attention. If you do nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about.

It's difficult to properly comment on it without seeing the full video but I wonder what made the tazer more suitable than CS spray in this instance? .

CS goes everywhere, not suitable in crowded areas, plus the man could have been very violent, so they could not get close enough to gas him effectively.

Proximity of the subject would not have been an issue with CS in this scenario but the carrier solvent in CS is MIBK which is flammable and if that didn't work and Taser was discharged, the electrical charge could ignite the MIBK on the subject. Clearly not an option.

Those officers did a very good job in detaining that person. There is no video prior to him being tasered but it would have been to disable him as he was too aggressive to handcuff without it. After the first taser he is still resisting and not following instructions. He is clearly a large man who is holding his arms in towards his chest, which is extremely difficult to pull apart on a large man who is resisting. The officer is not punching him in the head, he is punching him in the arm, a very effective method taught to all operational police officers to drain strength from those mucles, allowing him to overpower that muscle.

Well done to those officers.

The copper is like a kid

"Get back! TAZER TAZER TAZER!!"

He sounds so excited that he has the power of the tazer

He is taught to do that to make sure that all of his colleagues are aware of what is happening, the person himself knows what is happening and so that any onlookers know what is happening. Especially when he is being videos like on this occassion. He is not stupid and fully justified his use of force and is not trying to hide the fact that he has used taser as a method of force used.

haha made me laugh when he shouted TAZER TAZER TAZER both times, the police force didnt seem excessive to be honest.
Drunk and aggressive what a normal person would respond to when you are drunk like that you barely feel, if you in a town centre causing trouble you have to accept your punishment, if he hadnt of caused trouble he would have got the TAZER TAZER TAZER simple as!

The police are not there to dish out corporal punishment

Complete joke, if one officer had mounted the guy the other could have easily cuffed him no problem.

Badly trained officers as far as I'm concerned.

If the officers were carrying CS then they cannot use Taser on the subject if the spray does not work.

Enforcing compliance can also protect officers and public.

Also, it is often extremely difficult to cuff a suspect who is violently resisting, even with several officers.

I think the whole method of putting cuffs on is wrong. I know not everyone will comply, but the american style seems much more efficient. The only evidence i've seen is from vids like this, but when someone is wrestled to the ground for an arrest, is seems so difficult to cuff them. With police armed with tazers now, don't you think it would be better to threaten them into a position first, a position from which cuffing would be safer and easier?

I know that in america they are more willing to comply, but it just seems a more sensible way.
