Yeah, he's a great guy, shame we let him go really. Although going by the official summer departing thingy, looks like we've kept Omozusi which is good.

Because it was the exact same doom mongers saying the exact same thing when Beckham went and when RvN went etc etc. Some people are too quick to assume their opinion to be fact. All the Lids, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottingham Hotspur (Yes Spurs of all clubs) apparently knowing our second string inside out and better than any Utd fan. And because it's their opinion, its a fact !!!!!
Without Beckham we would never have scored another goal from a freekick or cross the ball from the right. Without RvN we would never get more than ten goals out of any player. Or so you would have believed reading these forums at the time of their respective transfers.
Oh but this time it will be different because, errrrrr just because OK and stop asking awkward questions.

Meh what do they know, it takes me 20 minutes to drive home from work and around 15 minutes into the journey they said that their sources were told we were the only ones in for Benzema, 5 minutes later they announced he'd signed for Real

They seriously reported it. Talksport isn't the most reliable of sources though.

You only carried on doing well after those players moved on because more players were brought in.
I'm not saying manyoo won't challenge next season, I'm saying they need a proper box-to-box midfielder with real quality else they'll be spare in the middle of the park and will struggle against the best sides.
After Sir Alex read the Michael Owen promotional brochure it was a done deal.

After RvN left Utd bought Carrick......the same midfielder aolt of people where just slating, and no body else was signed that summer and doom-mongers thought he was overpriced and we wouldnt win the league......and yet we havent surrendered it since winning it that year

It does really - seeing as every single article mentioning Benzema always mentioned him only being interested in RM and nowhere else. He BLATANTLY didnt want to go to Manchester - unfortunate but true

Our midfield is lightweight in the extreme, as are our striking options outside of Rooney.
We really did just about limp across the line last year, even with the "best player in the world tm"
We need a top striker, a decent right fullback, a powerhouse midfielder, and a top goalkeeper that isnt a million years old.

Id rather see him go somewhere that he will make a difference. Its a bit mean taking him just because you can. He wouldnt and shouldnt get a snif at united. If we need some strikers to fill in then we should be looking to our youth players and giving them a chance to prove themselves.
