**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

If Arsenal only got 40m for Cesc, I'd be devastated. In my opinion he'll be one of the greatest midfielders in the world over the next 10+ years as his game has nothing to do with speed so you're getting 10 years of world class Cesc, for 4m per year that's daylight robbery. I'd be asking for 60m, see what they're really made of.

I'm pretty sure Arsenal wouldn't put a price tag on a player and then make it public knowledge. I'm fairly confident Cesc will be with us at least 1 more season.

Yea they also are sudgesting that puyol is on his way to man city.

Not a chance imo, he's an integral part of the Barca setup.

Great signing in my opinion :)

Yeh, he's very versitile. Will give some much needed competition to Malouda!

For sure, next season he could leave if you dont win anything.

Yeah the whole story is obviously made up, but I can't believe the press think that Fabregas is worth only 40m considering some other price tags this summer.

Sounds like a poor man's David Bellion, which something I never want to see in action.

It's being reported everywhere now, BBC, Sky Sports. Looks like one that's going to happen!

At 17 though he's likely to be in the reserves to begin with.

BBC Transfer Gossip said:
Chelsea are willing to sell captain John Terry to Manchester City, if the Eastlands club offer £40m for the England defender.

New Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti will seek face-to-face talks with Terry as the Italian officially takes charge at Stamford Bridge on Monday morning.

Obviously not willing to sell him after all, pure dross as usual.

Nice bias.

Tom's never bias, it's everyone else who's biased against Man.U.;)

Zhirkov is quality, will fight with Malouda for the left wing spot and provide LB cover.

Good signing if you ask me.

he's 20, if you are talking about Obertan?

I am yeah, My mistake I miss-read the article on Sky Sports :o

Nice bias.

Have you seen him play? He was one of the best players at Euro 2008.

Cant say I have no, I just read that he's a left back and without any bias a left back is hardly going to wow the world is it especially as all summer they've been linking with Kaka's Ribery's and Villa's

Having said that that was me basing it on him being a LB as the article I posted stated.

:p

If arsenal are offering fabregas up for £40 mill there would be a queue. Man Utd could do worse than buy him. Brilliant player.

Arsenal really do need to win something next season or they could find themselves losing a lot of players.

I dont think we will lose A LOT of players as most of them arent wanted. Could see us losing Fab, Arshavin (maybe as he doesnt sound too commited by the paper talk) and RVP, maybe clichy.

Cant see anyone else going. Fab is my main concern but we have pulled the old Team Captain card on him already so I cant see anything else to keep him here after this year if we dont win. Which I cant blame him.

I just hope that the transfer market is just as crazy next year and RM want to keep their super prices going. Might get more for him next year if he has an injury free season. :D

As said above for £40m he would be snapped up by ManU, Chelski, ManC, Bara, or RM. Even Fulham would make an offer lol
