Dont worry about de-branding, i downloaded the orange firmware aswell, so if it ever has to go back to orange for warranty work ill just brand it back :)
 
Getting this phone next week and i am thinking of getting a case for when i do. So can any of you peeps with the phone recommend a good case for it, started looking through the thread but could not really see much!.

18x 35= £630 + £10 for the phone, on Racoon 45. Thats the deal I went for, and its exactly what it says on the tin, ahh just seen, that offer has expired, unlucky. :)

They are however doing £30 for the phone, and £39pm on the same contract now.

Called Vodafone to see when my contract expired....it expired last month. Result.

The guy was offering me the Samsung Jet with 600 minutes, unlimited texts & unlimited Internet/email usage for £35 on an 18 month contract.
 
Seems like the update is available for 32 mins already, here is a translation from their official facebook group:

The update is available via PC Studio 7. Please note that the Sim has to be inserted in the terminal during the upgrade. Thank you for your patience and trust.

Its out and it fixes the hd audio.
Only problem is at the moment to get this new firmware you have to update your phone to the italian generic firmware and then update via pc studio to the latest.
Im waiting a while for the new generic firmware to be posted so i can just flash my phone once.

Are there product codes for this phone, like on the N95 and such?
I remember I used to change my code and update my phone via NSU

updated my phone, pretty nice
tho now its Samsung OmniaHD instead of i8910HD
but doesnt matter
its all blue instead of orange, current firmware: I8910XXIG2
dated: 03/07/2009

Will check how it works and new apps in a bit :)

EDIT: So far everything seems to be fine, excpet one thing: the full screen QWERTY keyboard doesnt work and not the handwriting recognition.
only the old phone style typing
now thats really not nice, I have done a hard reset and a soft reset and formatted everything, and nothinh helps this issue

apart from that, the new firmware is just great and has a bunch of new features!
