The All New Desktop Thread, Images No Larger Than 800x600

Just a heads up - if anyone's rainmeter weather feature uses weather.com is now suddenly not working, I think weather.com changed the authentication of their XML service, and you need to get a partner ID and license key to make it work.

Getting a License Key and Partner Id from weather.com

Weather.com requires that you sign up with them to use this service. Once you sign up at: http://www.weather.com/services/xmloap.html, you will get an SDK that explains the XML data format that they use and the HTTP GET query string/URI that they use. They will also give you PNG files that are icons for the different weather conditions that are reported. They also require that you use the License Key and Partner Id that they give you to make HTTP GET calls to their service.

I just got mine working by signing up, was emailed the key and ID immediately.

I like the minimalist approach....

Awesome mines been working on and off for a while now, been wondering what it was just haven't bothered to try and find out. lol

Cheers for heads up. :)

how do you set all that info up on the right of your desktop? Looks cool? Can you edit the font too?
SimonC is correct, for the time and weather, the sys info is the default 'tranqull' theme i modded. More details in the link below the image you quoted. :)

Could you link me to your desktop wallpaper please :)

I know, it's cluttered with icons, but those are frequently used apps/games.

Cleaned up some icons.

I'm hoping we are allowed to post more than one pic...
