**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

I still don't understand why Harry is trying to ship out Tottenham's top scorer last year. :o

Wherever Bent goes, if he gets 40-50 games, he'll get about 20 goals.

I hope sunderland buy him, he would be excellent with Jones

Agreed.

But it will make us look very silly indeed, as stated above, almost like we don't have a clue in the transfer market.

Only to people that have no idea why he was sold.

Crouch had a year left on his deal and wanted to play regularly. Rafa didn't want to sell him but we had little choice. If Crouch now realises he had it good at Liverpool, Rafa wants him back and we can get him for a similar fee to what we sold him for then I'd love to have him back.

Everyone who's seen Naughton play seems to really rate him. I have to be honest and say I've never seen the guy play. £8m seems a lot though?!

Well isn't the deal floating around £10m for Naughton and Walker?

Pretty sure any SUFC fan would have happily turned down that offer. If we sold for any less, there would have been an uproar. Both of them were quite happy to stay, and have said that publicly, and our board have almost pushed them out of the club.

Ah well, wish they went to everton (really wish they did), but you have got yourselves 2 brilliant little players. Gutted to see them leave. :(

The article does say that multiple clubs are after him. So I wouldnt trust it to be honest. One team may want him but multiple teams? lol

I just hope that we can hang onto Silvestra ;)

Yeah, if Silvestre leaves I can definitely see myself never watching an Arsenal game again.

Crouch was in the last year on his contract and was not going to sign a new one as we could not guarantee him a starting place. Selling him was the only option left. Plus we got good money for him.

I would say the stories rubbish anyway.

Would be a genius move to ditch Eboue, I mean Fabregas's closest friends at the club were Henry, Hleb, Senderos and now Eboue is the last one who was actually there last season. Fabregas scored a goal towards end of season and ran off the pitch to celebrate with Eboue first, the team, even if not the fans, love Eboue.

He never stops running, never stops trying and played great in all but his game returning from injury, he played quite a lot of games all told last year, is great cover and really the last link other than Fabregas and Toure, to our last really competitive squad.

We're ditching Senderos by the looks of it, I know, lets sell all of Fabregas's friends, so he has one less reason to stay next season.

He's still leagues ahead in quality over Denilson/Diaby/Song, if any of you Arsenal fans have Arsenal tv online, go watch footage of last seasons pre-season, several games we played Eboue to start on the right with Denilson as DM, awful defensively first half, moved Eboue in there and 2nd half in those games we were hugely better. He's faster and fitter than Flamini and that was why Flamini was so successful, he had the fitness/pace to get forwards but still defend. Denilson and Song fail constantly in terms of defence as they are so easy to pass and they can't keep up with fast breaks.

Would be very sorry to see Eboue go, though happy to see him get first team football. He's put in huge effort, gets stick for one bad game, gets stick for poor discipline record despite a single yellow card in the league this year and has made a HUGE effort to come back from no confidence, he's made a huge effort to not react to being hacked down. Since christmas he's been fouled plenty and just got up and got on with it each and every time.

Arsenal fans are turning fickle and pathetic these days, they did all turn on Ade. AFter the 30 goals everyone said he was great and now puts in less effort. Horsecrap, he was always a lazy git who stood offside and got lucky, when that didn't work out Arsenal fans turned on him and said his game changed. It didn't, he was always the same lazy player who once in every 10 games puts in slightly more effort, Arsenal fans ignored it while his luck was up and pounced on him when his luck went away. Eboue has one bad game, the fans decide its time to make up crap about him.

We're turning into a joke club who more often than not keep the wrong players and lose the better players.

I feel sorry for people who have to listen to you talk about football in real life, you've got such a distorted view on Arsenal and certain aspects of football it's unreal. For the record, Cesc said just last week that Rosicky was his bessie m8 at the club. I really wish you'd stop making stuff up and passing it off as fact. You are bonkers. (I only read your first paragraph before deciding the rest would be as silly)

Edit - Link! Cesc likes Tomas

Also, for the record, where on earth would Eboue play in the Arsenal team? He's got nothing on Sagna, nothing on any wide midfielders at the club (the whole reason he was pushed up into midfield was because he wasn't good enough in defence, despite being a defender). You're absolutely crazy, I've never seen somebody have such a wrong view on a player and stick to it despite constant, overwhelming evidence suggesting the opposite of what you think. Yeah, Eboue is alright, but that's it, he's alright.

Also, most people didn't turn on Ade, we always knew he wasn't very good, just that he had one good season, that's why most people wanted to sell him last season as most Arsenal fans realised it was a fluke season where he was in front of a special midfield who gave him chance after chance after chance every week.

No I must defend DM. His opinion is FACT. No one elses opinion matters. We must all think that Eboue is great and Walcott is rubbish. I do agree with Bendtner though. I think three of us on here like him ;)

DM you just need to lighten up a bit and stop defending the players as if you are their best mate. I am half expecting an elbow to come my way when i disagree with you lol

Eboue is a good work horse but I dont think he should be anything else other than a RB. In that position he is fine. But personally and this is just my opinion, i dont think he should play anywhere else as he isnt good enough.

No one actually said Diaby or Denilson were any better so im not sure why you brought them into the conversation.

It's because he argues with himself about points no one has brought up at all, he just needs something to do to fill his day.

And please, stop repeating yourself about Eboue and DM position, we've heard it soooooooo many times.

Someone disagrees with DM shocker! DM always backs his posts up with stats and informative posts even if they are a bit long winded.

Wonder if an arsenal fan can tell me how did Sendaros do in Italy? One would presume not very well if they didn't want to extend the loan or buy him an Arsenal want rid if him?

He's just sinking to desperate levels, comparing his best m8 Eboue, who is a RB, to very young CM's who are all going to be better than Eboue when they're his age.

You're exactly right when you say he's a decent RB, nothing more, not a great RB, just a decent back up. For anybody to idolise him is just bordering on insane.

He made a few mistakes when he first arrived but over the course of the year he gained confidence and turned into a pretty solid CB. Again, a decent player, just probably not good enough to be 1st choice at a top 4 club at this stage.

Facts like what? Eboue tries hard and never stops running? If Arsenal paid me £40kp/w I'd happily do that.
