Looks like we are in for a rough time as game RRP rises

I'm getting this on PC too, thankfully they haven't messed with the prices there, they know better with what state PC gaming is in atm.

I'm like the majority here, I won't budge over £40 for a game so I'd be miffed at that ridiculous price.

They reckon it's development costs, I think theres gotta be some BS somewhere in that, I mean don't get me wrong COD games are good but at the end of the day it's a level to level FPS, hardly on the same level as something like GTA is it?

Note: I am not comparing COD to GTA, I'm talking on a development scale.

Good job I've got this pre ordered for £30 on pc though.

That seems expensive, it seems to me that PC games are going up to. Ive only recently come back into PC gaming, but it wasnt long ago we could get most PC games for 18-25 quid.

I agree with the majority. If I tried to buy a game for more than £40 alarm bells would start ringing in my head. My conscious would probably take me to the corner of the game store and have a quite word with me. The one exception to this for me is Gran Turismo 5. I would pay £55 for that to have it when it comes out. No more than £55 though.

I've looked around and the cheapest i've seen this for is £43.I suspect it'd be a lot cheaper if the RRP wasn't so high.

Also worth remembering that at the moment retailers have the 2.5% VAT reduction to play with. That will of course change from 1st Jan....

they love the easy to play, autoaimfest that is the multiplayer. They like everything about this game, so it'll sell, and it'll sell well and we'll all suffer because of it.

wow steady on.. i play COD5 i dont find it has auto aim or anything like!

infact i would say its a damn sight more difficult to aim, be accurate on cod than it is on Killzone 2 for instance...

but yes 55 squid is far too much.

I paid £89 for a japanse Street Fighter 2 Turbo on Super Nintendo/Famicom:p

*I was only about 13 at the time

huh?

You double tap the look down the sight key and most of the work is done.

Careface. The game will still be there in a years time which is when I'll pick it up 2nd hand probably for a third of the RRP. I have not yet paid over £19.99 for a 360 game and i now have around 40 games.....

like i said, its much more difficult than in say.. KZ2, so what does that a, say for killzone 2? and b, i cant really say i notice that much aim assist if any...c, say you run at someone and your holdon a MP40 and you just spray away, where is the auto aim here? i have never felt or seen my aiming cursor get dragged closer to a target than i have moved it with my analogues?

and i used to play a lot of things like BF2 on the PC etc UT so maybe

I love CoD on the consoles but it does have a lot of aim assist. It's most obvious if you are looking down the scope at someone in the distance and an enemy runs directly past you. You will basically spin around automatically.

Yeah, it has a huge amount of auto aim/aim assistance.
