TGI Fridays?

Food in London? Gotta be Gaucho Grill for me.

Mmmmm... Cow... :D

Although TGI's isn't that bad to be honest. I've had better and I've had a lot worse.

We need a Outback Steakhouse over here. So nice. :(

We do/did have them. There was one near to me, but it shut down. :( Shame, the Rack of Lamb was beautiful.

Outbackpom.com iirc

TGI's is usually pretty good. Although expensive for what it can be.

Good cocktails and milkshakes. The JD sauce is amazing if they still do that!

I have been numerous times and only ever had to complain twice. Each time was for reasonable grounds (appauling service, wait time and or food) and I was given back a refund of the full bill.
Pretty good all in all.

Logans Roadhouse is good, that is the US site, prob. about the same info. Anyway that is where I found out, I like salmon, they have buckets of peanuts on the table & people throw peanut shells in the floor. I found it annoying, but that is just me. Not sure if they are in the UK.

I once spent 10 days in Hong Kong with a loud mouth yank for work and the only place he wanted to eat, with the exception of McDonalds, was TGI Fridays. What a **** he was. & HK has some of the best Asian food in the world.

Frankie & Benny's is dire, there's one in Huntingdon next to the Cineworld, the last two times I've been I've refused to pay for my meal, reason I wouldn't go:-

1. Useless Staff
2. Dirty Floors
3. Dirty Plates
4. Dirty Cutlerly
5. Steak was 50% fat/gristle
6. Waitress dropped food on the floor, proceded to kick it under the table rather than clear it up

I'd rather have a McD's and that's saying something!

As for TGI, it's not too bad, the few times I've been it's been OK for what it is, glorified burger food.

It would appear to me that either everyone on here is a secret food critic or there local chain restaurants are run by imbeciles?

I have to say, I've eaten and both F&B's and TGI's in Brizzle and enjoy them both very much. The Jack Daniels meals at TGI's are awesome, big meaty food with awesome sauce.

Go and enjoy some good nommage, the only problem with these places is the noise of families that seem to end up there all to often.

I think TGI's does depend on which one you go to. The one on Covent garden I love going to simply because of the atmosphere there. I've been to a couple of others such as Enfield and they just don't do it for me so I believe it does depend. Covent garden one though, thoroughly recommend.

Also someone mentioned outback steakhouse? We have them over here although I've not been as there's one in Enfield near the Cineworld Cinema/Southbury leisure centre.

Damn dude, you go there too! I can't get enough of it personally! Gonna be in Soho tomorrow, im sure i'll stop by there again!
I've been to Bodeans once and had the mixed grill. It was nice but nothing worth shouting about. I think Bodeans is slightly over-rated if i'm honest.

Walk 20m down the same side of Poland Street until you see a big cow on the path. That'll be The Cattle Grid. Now that place is worth shouting about. Utterly fantastic steaks, and I've had my fair share of them. Seriously, try it. They also do burgers and chips for a fiver in between 3-6pm which is an absolute bargain (given at how huge it is). I honestly cant recommend the Cattle Grid enough, and it's cheap too (read their ethos). :)

TGI Fridays in New York > all

Not at all, I thought TGI Friday's in NYC wasn't even the best TGIs I've been too, never mind any other restaurants :)

Service was poor, they got the order wrong, food quality was nothing to write home about. The only plus point I can think of is that you get bigger starters, even the 'small' round of potato skins has 6 of them. You can get the same style of food much cheaper and of the same quality in other chains out there.

As for the English ones, the quality varies.
Southampton = food isn't cooked properly, all a bit drab, inattentive staff the last couple of times I went (to be fair I accept that staff turnover at these sort of places will be high)
Park Gate = fine

Why not try , Gianni. It's by coach station. Nice Italian restaurant that I'm sure do steaks.

And you can pick up a free drink at revolution before, there's vouchers dotted about.

There you go.

Pretty good from what I remember, and was quite surprised there was no pizza on the menu :p Nice carbornararararara though.

If your eating in cheltenham then I'd suggest morons on the bath road can't remember the prices but think they were a tad higher than TGI's. However great food and a decent pint. Never really been a fan of TGI's.

No No No Jesus Mary Mother Of Joey No. Never have I experienced a more pathetic roast potato. And the bar prices? Purleease.

I'd rather have an all day brecky and a pint of Strongbow at the Norward tbh :p (not been there since the refit mind - probably a craphole now)

I've only been to an English one once and it kinda sucked, the one in America was awesome though :D

i disagree. the one in NY i went to was crap (though the staff were funny(in a good way)), but the ones over here have been good (bristol, brighton, sheffield, london, cardiff)

I don't think it's great value for money but it's sort of edible. The kids think it's OK but they also think I flirt too much with the waitresses ;)

They started it :p
