Oh wow, I haven't had a paratha for ages!I want to try and push myself with the fasting....but maybe this is nothing more than pre-fasting bravado and I'll be on the paratha's before you know it
I've not been back to the gym since Jan - other commitments and loss of interest, not to mention being charged £60 p/m for a poncy gym made me change my mind.

Oh wow, I haven't had a paratha for ages!
That should see me through my intake if I can stick to the plan![]()
What about the Muslims that work nights?
Can they just eat as usual?
They have it easy if so![]()

No, he's posted quite a few times about going out and getting very drunk and also doing silly things when drunk. I just thought it was rather bizarre that he can quite happily brag about not following that particular tenet and yet claim that he'll quite happily try to follow this one even though it's going to be difficult for him.
Yeah, but it's also a time to ask for Forgiveness from Allah.

Bledd, trust me you're not going to die. Just try it for 12 hours. It's going to be hard at first. Then you will get used to it. Ramadan is my fav month.

I know the human body can last a few days without water, but I have no large intestine you see, so I get super thirsty![]()
Also remember what its like for the Western people living in Arab countries where they impose their religion.... one of my friends lives over there and there's nothing available to eat during the day at Ramadan despite him not being a Muslim... and of-course there's the whole executions, hands being cut off, no-whistling, women not allowed to drive, not allowed to speak to women, women not allowed in swimming pools (even Western women in a Western hotel) stuff that happens all year round.

My experience in the UAE is that, the hotels pretty much allow you to do anything. But thanks for the rant anyway![]()
But what I said is true about Saudi.Thats complete drivvel based on my trips to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and FujairahWestyfield2 said:there's nothing available to eat during the day at Ramadan despite him not being a Muslim..
You're friend can't have lived there very long or is being dramaticAbsolute rubbish, i can tell you for a fact that women drive in abu dhabi to name one place alonewomen not allowed to drive, not allowed to speak to women,
No... you can do what you like in the hotels and on the private beaches the hotels own, you pay them 5 dhr or something trivial and you can go on therewomen not allowed in swimming pools (even Western women in a Western hotel) stuff that happens all year round.

Anyone can eat what they want provided it isn't in a public place in view, as such most resteraunts that are open and the majority of hotels will have screened off areas for people to eat in.
a lot of local resteraunts and cafe's however shift their opening hours to later for obvious reasons

Public beaches are different, but free
One of my teachers is a Muslim and keeps to Ramadan strictly. No food or water all day, in a computer suite with 30 PC's and no air-conditioning. Kudos to him for keeping to it
