You've got to laugh at how it's descended into a 'it's easy/difficult' debate. It's not about whether it's the easiest or the most difficult thing in the world.
Ramadhan is a month that teaches a muslim patience, discipline, modesty & spirituality.
If you can fathom that, woop! If you can't, boohoo?
1) I also know 3 muslim ex drug dealers and they were doing stuff like cocaine etc.
2) Just seems to me that a new branch of islam is being formed. A western version, shall be good. Far more tollerant and willing to integrate with the natives, the people they came to live with after all.
3) I find older generation of muslims to be very racist yet they come over here anyway.
1) Riiight . .
2) Define integration? Someone who drinks? Goes clubbing?
3) Older generation of muslims or older generation of immigrants?
That's sugar, coffee, tea, cigarettes, all out.
They're not intoxicants.
easy is it? nah i dont think so mate, u have to cut off drink/drugs/sex/alcohol and food from 4 in the morning to 8 in the nite.
not easy.
Are you for real? They're forbidden in Islam to begin with (bar sex with your spouse). Are you insinuating those things are allowed after you break your fast?
1) Going without water is stupid. Putting religion before health because you've been told to do something....
2) Most Muslim's I speak to don't even know the reason, they just say "they have to do it and we won't understand".
3)Not drinking alcohol because it "controls the mind", but quite happily smoke weed etc!
Makes perfect sense..... no!
1) Fasting is for those whom are fit enough to fast. If you meet that criteria you can go without water.
2) The type of muslims you speak of speak for themselves.
3) See above.
1) Yes anyone can survive it, but I know people who don't drink during ramadan but still go to the gym etc, dehydrating themselves for the day, which while not life threatening, is not good for your body at all!
2) Likewise, by old technician used to fast during the day, and then absolutely stuff his face in the evening to make up for it, which is COMPLETELY pointless!
3) But as I said, a lot of people only do it because they HAVE to because of their dictatorial religion.
1) I've been training for the past x amount of years. I've never suffered dehydration. Is this some more generalised rubbish without any evidence based on individual circumstances?
2) Do elaborate.
3) More tripe! No one is forced to anything. Every human has a choice.
1) Also, what do you think of those Muslims who believe that Ramadan is the time to increase jihad activities, because they believe Allah will help them with greater power during this auspicious time,
2) and those Muslims that have recently killed their fellow Muslims in Somalia, Algeria, Iraq etc during this time?
1) What do you think?
2) That's not even a question. Think about this one.
Spawn, serious question, what do you think of those Muslims who fast during Ramadan, and also give up their 'sins' during Ramadan,
1) but for the rest of the year, they go clubbing, get with numerous white women, and frankly treat those women very badly etc, smoke, and some even drink?
When I was at uni nearly 9 years ago, the number of Muslim boys treating their non Muslim girls badly was astonishing. They even bragged about it, "well, it's not like I'm going to marry any of them so who cares...."
2) I do understand Ramadan, but feel that in this day and age, many Muslims only partake in it because they feel obliged to, not because they believe in its true reasons.
I also know of many Muslims who break fast, and then do not carry out what they are supposed to to repent for this, eg feeding a poor person for the number of fasts that have been broken, but will still preach to others that what they are doing it worthy of great virtue!!
Oh, so the above weren't serious questions? You were merely looking chuck some muslim bashing into tha mix? Didums . .
1) What do you think of them? What do you think of people who treat women badly?
2) So you understand Ramadhan's true reasons?
They participate in fasting because if they didn't some loony extremist family member would probably kill them.
At least that's what some old news reports would lead me to believe.

I still remember that woman who got stabbed by her father (I believe) for doing something their religion didn't approve of.
Way to go cultural generalisation! /rollies
no muslim has answered my question
That may be because you're a troll. I suggest you stop trolling.
