I've had a PSP for around 3 years and I can say that from personal opinion if you do a lot of traveling on public transport or you spend a while away from gaming PC's or consoles then it's a worthy purchase, although if you live in Liverpool, London or Birmingham you're likely to have it taken from you by somebody who tucks their tracksuit into their socks.
For me however It's no good because I don't catch buses or trains, and don't spend that much time away from home. That said, the games are definitely entertaining, there's a fairly sizeable catalogue of games and being able to just hit the power button, and then turn it back on later and resume play is a nifty trick. If I was about to buy a PSP though I'd wait until the PSPGo! was released, although that does depend on wether you like owning physical copies of games or wether you are happy simply possessing the download.![]()
This is the thing, it does seem slightly silly sitting on my sofa playing a PSP when I've got a perfectly good PS3 and PC sat there that are more than capable of playing games. But I'm still drawn towards one nonetheless!
I have looked into the PSP Go, but it's just too expensive for something I'll be using casually, and being forced to pay PSN Store prices for games isn't going to help either.
Hmm...I'll have to give this one a lot of thought I think. I'd be much more inclined to get one if games like GTA LCS and VCS hadn't been released on PS2 also, because I've played those already!
