Favourite villain

Interesting to note that almost all these villains would fall into the "pantomime" or "hamming" category. Only two adult villains are Amon Goeth and Nurse Ratched - both great.

For cold-blooded villainy: Robert Shaw in the original "The Taking of Pelham 123".

For interesting villainy: Ed Harris the "The Rock" or Michael Biehn in "The Abyss".

Raistlin Majere.

ok ok....so its from books and not tv or film.

And ok ok...so technically its questionable as to whether you could count him as a "villain"

But I dont care !

Has the be The Joker, especially The Joker from old Batman Cartoons, dont think anyone could beat Mark Hamil.

The Kurgan in Highlander - 'ever played chicken?' 'Happy Halloween ladies!':D
Goldfinger
Jack Nicholson's Joker
Best one is Bennett from Commando, after all he did wear a string vest to combat Schwarzenegger! ;) :p

Anthony Hopkins As Dr Hannibal Lecter. Awesome.

I also think Tony Soprano is rather good as was his henchman Furio Gunta who was sadly not in The Sopranos as much as he should have been.

Bob in Twin Peaks. One of the most genuinely creepy villains to appear on the small screen, never even had to say a word. Just try and remember the scene of him climbing out from behind that dresser.

On a similar David Lynch motif, Dennis Hopper as Frank in Blue Velvet, complete psychopath from start to finish.

Roger Delgado as the original Master.

Kevin Spacey - Kyser Sose
Kevin Spacey - Nutter from Se7en
Heath Ledger - Joker
James Earl Jones/David Prowse - Darth Vader
Anthony Hopkins - Hannibal Lecter
Gary Oldman - Whenever he plays a bad guy...
Alan Rickman - See above

Quite fond of Kingsley in Sexy Beast.

Just to acknowledge my +1 of the prior mentioned. The world needs baddies. :D ???
Nurse Ratchett
The Kurgan in Highlander "Father forgive me, I am but a worm... It's better to burn out than to fade away." remember him as Captain Byron Hadley in Shawshank Redemption too?
Roger Delgado as the original Master
Michael Wincott Top Dollar in the crow.
Ben Kingsley, in Sexy Beast of course. He was convincing in that.
Mark Hamils laugh. First I knew he did the Joker in those cartoons.
Oh and one more to the pot, Emperor Ming anybody? Wow only just found out that was Max von Sydow. :)
