Derren Brown - outdone himself this time?

Not sure Derren does this kind of thing... as in using technology to portray him being a psychic etc. I think he will get maybe 2 /3 numbers right, and the rest will be wrong but he will have a sealed envelope as usual showing the other numbers in some weird pattern ^^

I've done this before by Mapping all the previous results and trend patterns. Only got the amount I did by staggering my numbers (so if one number came up I had it across 5 different tickets etc). Think I managed to get £150/200 with £30 of tickets. But only got it to ever work twice, probably luck tbh!

Predicting lottery numbers is nothing other than myth. You can get lucky and get 3/4 by maybe looking at frequencies... but predicting a full set is near impossible!

It's pretty much completely random - there can't be a pattern. Unless he rigged the machine. He went to some extraordinary lengths to show he could predict 6 winning horses in a row. The only way he can predict this 'live' is to have the information beforehand.

Anyhow, we shall wait till Friday and find out how he did it.
 
Following the live prediction, Derren will reveal on Friday 11th September at 9pm how he did it and how viewers at home can also do it.

It's obviously going to be some really obscure method that will have a low chance of success. And yields of maybe £10 or something. You really think the lottery would survive with the entire population benefitting from his scheme? :D

I presume you are talking about mechanical bias? surely that's mostly defeated by the use of a random machine each time?
 
I'll tell you what I think. I think it's a HUGE viral campaign to get people buying lotto tickets this week. I expect an epic rollover. Lotto bods must have treated Derren well :p


Still...I'll be playing £1 on Wed/Friday :p

That's what I said? He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would use technology to do this on TV as he isn't a fake preacher of this type of entertainment, it will be a simple method that is real and available for anyone else to do.
 
The key with Derren is all in the details.

How many numbers does it say he will predict?
Does it mention winning anywhere?

Nevertheless, he is a fantastic entertainer and I look forward to both shows, more so the Friday night.
 
hmm..interesting. if everyone can predict the lotto numbers every wk then there will be no point of buying it cos everyone is a winner! But i doubt he can do it though! hes not jesus!
 
Long and short of this is he following......

Whether it is ever possible or not (nobody really knows) as the brain is the most unexplored .......it is so entertaining :D

Ill be watching for sure :)

He cant. Mathematical minds of our current age have said its impossible. If it could have been done, it would have been by now.
 
Anyone here do the Irish lottery? Most of my family play that instead of the UK, they win a lot more times doing so.
