Guitar Hero vs the Guitar

If guitar hero fulfils her as much as sex, I'd question just how good you are in the bedroom.

:D

Well, in other words, buying guitar hero is cheaper than getting multiple girls drunk.

Oh well... I'll try and have an intelligent conversation elsewhere.

Oh come on - how can you possibly have an intelligent conversation stemming from my original comment which was clearly tongue in cheek :p

Either way, just because you learn to play an instrument doesn't mean you're better than someone who chooses to play videogames.

In which way do you mean better? If you mean better as in skill, then of course someone who has learnt to play the guitar is better than someone playing Guitar Hero, the two aren't any where near the same.

Guitar hero should just be a bit of fun on the side

If you're serious about it pick up a guitar

if you're serious about guitar hero, get a life.

This.

My dad has played guitar for years and has a few and is an amazing player, he however doesn't understand Guitar Hero much, but thinks it's great fun to watch / play.

If you're serious about guitar, you play it.
If you want to have a laugh, and a bit of fun, play the game.

GH should not be sold to anyone unless they can prove they have mid to high skill in real guitar first.

That was shows they have a good work ethic and ability to learn music before stretching out into the video game "fun" equivalent.

It's the same with flight sim, I'm glad I did those 1000 hours training in a harrier jump jet to be able to log onto a PC and play Flight Sim, flying a harrier.

Also, I'm glad I had to survive a real life zombie post apocalyptic end of world scenario with 3 others before getting Left 4 Dead. Those skills I learnt in real life really contributed to the playing experience and made me a better zombie slayer because of it.

Finally, if I hadn't been teamed up with a team of 9 multinational people, including; Big Fat Russians, Skinny Germans, steamlined fast running yanks and Black Scotsmen.I wouldn't have been able to transfer my skillset so well across into TF2 to capture the flag/control points as easy....and....

Some people just will not appreciate that playing games is serious business...

Post made of win

I simply cannot play Guitar Hero.

I have played the guitar for many years, and when I hear a song I know how to play my muscle memory just can't comprehend the button presses.

Quite funny that some friends are avid Guitar Hero players and I'm considered crap because I can actually play the songs :p

I completely disagree with the musicians - they introduce a wide range of genre to a wide audience - eventually people will play the games and fancy their chances of the real thing and start learning.
