Derren Brown - outdone himself this time?

Right at the end he says he will explain on friday how "he did this and how you can do it too if you want a go".

Any explanation he gives will be convoluted and yet another 'illusion' because you can't predict lotto numbers ;)

He would be ridiculed if he says it's a camera trick.

Depends on the definition of "camera trick", surely? If he didn't really predict the numbers, then there must be some trickery involved in a video which shows him doing exactly that...

What you're seeing is a visual illusion - physically the balls are in line - I'm 99% sure of this.

Are you kidding.

That picture, be it poor quality, is obvious.

Just look at the gap in the bottom corner of the far left ball.

1st pic, literally non existent, 2nd pic much more obvious.

I'm sure he will explain "how he did this" and "how you can do it too." He hasn't made any promise to explain "how you can win the lottery" :)

i dont know why he didn't show his numbers first

i would have been more amazed and think it's an illusion with friday showing how he did it with the second camera man
Legal reasons apparently...

Visual illusions can occur dependant on what angle the camera is at - at one point it is shown from a different angle than the other which can give the illusion the left ball is higher... I dunno maybe I'm waffling.

But I'm not going to guess anymore :p - All I can say is I look forward to Friday with anticipation :p

Left ball is clearly higher,
the ball raises up around 2:05.

If you look though, those balls are slighty squeezed into their frame/holder (the ball on the right starts out not quite resting on the base of the frame) - it's the ever so slight lack of space when he moves them that causes the other to move up.

They were there before the draw in full view and didn't move nor where they obstructed at any point.

No, think about it from an Information Theory point of view. Any prediction involves information. Having the balls sitting their with their backs to us is not a prediction.

I belive im right.
