ps3 on watchdog next week!

my PS3 worked for a year without the fan coming on once.

Now it comes on after 2-3 minutes without fail :( making it useless to watch blu ray on

I've hoovered it and dusted it so it should be ok my house is cleaned from top to toe once per week.

I'm convinced it got jiggered since i got my PSP and enabled remote play :(

The thing comparing a heat gun fix, which in some if my experience is not a perm fix, just a quick bodge of a reflow. Normally in situations like this the bga would be reflowed by a infa red system or in best case replaced and reflowed in a reflow oven. I'm sure Sony gives you a replacement /refurb ps3 rather than have some guy with a heat gun fixing you're console so I hope they don't try to compare the two. Be nice to get the cost of repair down though
 
I heard that they are forcing Sony to lower the price because a 360 can do almost everything it does, does it better and costs nearly 3 times less

Watchdog wont change anything. Sony don't really give two hoots about the UK (I defend sony a lot) I can't see them changing policy over some silly little tv program. If they do champion but I can't see it happening.

Joking, right? Not to get into a discussion over each consoles merits, but I for one chose to buy my PS3 knowing the price difference. Hardly an issue for WD.
 
Could be over numerous things.
Such as informing retail stores not to honour any warrenty on consoles with disk read errors (In the first year this occured in most places) due to it only happening due to user mis-use.

Some people who were in that situation ended up having to buy another one or pay over ~£200 (at the time) to get it fixed. . when they shouldnt have to, and afaik Sony are still denying refunds.



Or knowing watchdog, its probably some useless crap 'one in 1/10000 consoles have the power to trigger nuclear war! Ban'

You just know it's going to be something stupid. They'll probably moan, saying there are cheaper BR players around or something equally dull.

??? How much does it cost to have an xbox 360 with a 120gb harddrive, connect to the net wireless, play games online and have rechargable controllers so that you don't need to keep buying batteries?

I don't know how much does it cost to have a PS3, put on your headset to talk to your mates, put standard AA batteries in the controller when your batteries have died and you don't want to be tethered, talk to all your mates in a party accross all games etc?

I think we know the answer, both have a cost depending on your own criteria.. you pays your money, you makes your choice..
 
ive had 1 failure after i corrupted my hdd simple enough problem (i closed it down while streaming) but it was 11 months into it, could have simply replaced the hdd (format wasnt working) but sent it back as I got 3 extra months warrenty :D got a 320 straight into it after I got it back sony help&support was top!
