Sounds like unfair dismissal to me.

Your boss could probibly get into a lot of trouble if you made a fuss. And they would have to pay you for the days you would have worked!!

I love working somewhere where everyone is above behaviour like that.

I look at some workplaces and all I see is a big fight to get one up on people, from the outside it looks very childish.

Maybe you could try getting a better job? Give your local taxi firms a ring, see if they got any positions open for the office. Dispatching taxis is great fun, particularly late at night and definitely if they're still on a radio. Free kebabs for London runs.

Not necessarily. In this case for example, telling the "boss" to F Off could well be cited as gross misconduct. Grounds enough to sack there and then.
