*** Colin McRae DiRT 2 ***

Up to XP level 8 now, just about to start my first X Games event, like it very much.

It is more an arcade racer than rally game now but it's not that bad, rally cross is also fun.

picked this up yesterday, as i wanted a new game to play while i wait for forza 3 & flashpoint.

i have to say its great and most of my forza friends are playing it so should be a laugh online :D

European X-Games wasn't really much more than a little tourney, hope the ones further in are more intense and full of excitement ;)

Still wish there was a true free run option, being able to use an Impreza on a Baja track would be fun!

Buggies seem to be racing on ice all the time, but still enjoying the game! :)

Picked this up on release and haven't been able to stop playing it!

Fantastic fun, will definitely be dipping into the online stuff when my new router arrives.

How gorgeous are the graphics?!

Great game, loving it so far. But has anyone noticed with the sounds of the cars the new shape impreza (ie ken blocks) dosent sound like the car at all - you hear the sound of it in the codemasters intro when it dose the 360, but in game it sounds tinny compared to the group n older impreza

How do you know the one in the intro isn't the wrong sound, and the in game one is right? :p.

They should have called it Grid 2 rather than Dirt 2.

I had became insanely bored with Rally games after having them trotted out year after year, its probably been 4 or 5 years since i last played one though, and to my amazement, ive found that i have been enjoying the standard rally stages far more than any of the other ones.

The quality of graphics is also really good, on some of the deserty rally stages, ive found myself thinking that it can look photorealistic at times.

I dont like the rallycross stages, its good to have a variety of different races and it keeps it from being stagnant, i dont like the guy keep saying to me "hey mark, you were awesome!" and what not, i try to run Dave Mirra off the road when possible as a result of this.

hehe, its tru tho, watch vids of ken block in the new shape impreza and the ingame one sounds nothing like it.

theres very little rally games out compared to normally racing games - Dirt 1 & 2 are the only 2 i can think of on the ps3/360.

I think the rally cross stages are quite good, just takes a bit of time to get used to other cars been on the track etc compared to the rally stages.

the trailblazer stages are good aswell - like the rally, but faster with no co-driver giving the pacenotes.

yep, good game, better than the 1st and i like the new events also. Visuals sometimes can be the best i've seen on the 360. AAA title for me!
