Hopefully all these events happened somewhere they had their cameras?

In which case, document all you remember, and send it to HR. Mention the fact that you "loved working there... got on with everyone", and that when you were being thoughtfull in turning up early one day, you got your ears bitten off, and then fired.

Then go on to bring up that you have lost faith in the company, and that if they have any kind of soul, they should at least send you an apology from that particular manager.

Then you *might get a free happy meal!

Look at the grammatical structure and style of the OP.

It was clearly written by the same person who wrote yesterdays filipino boyfriend/girlfrind thread.

How on earth does this thread remain open, and that one closed?

What has Ronald got so say about the matter?

Here is my days story (Would happen on Friday)...

I work at McDonalds part time (I am at university) and up untill now, i loved working there. I got on with the people, and i did enjoy the work that i was doing. Right so, getting to the point....Today i turned up to work an 20 mins early, and i said to my manager "Thought i would come in early to help out" She said "That is silly, you work your normal hours and nothing else" This fumed me, since all i was doing was my days good deed, so i said (Which i regret) " of, i am sick of being treated like this. I do my best for this company and all i get is NO SWEARING" She then looked at me for about 5 seconds, and she said "I no longer want you working for me" I said fine, i can just go up the road to KFC and get a job...Then all of a sudden she says "Wait...The truth is, you have great potential and i do not want to lose you. Would you consider management training?" Lol i was stunned...I love working their, and to be offered management i was chuffed. Anyway, after saying yes and apologising to her for the language, she said "I'm joking...Now get lost eggface" I have no idea what an eggface is! Anyway yeah, what a day...I feel so low.

unless they were absolutely getting hammered in performance/serving times, she's got no justification for starting you 20 minutes early, you are silly....

only real time they'd want you is if someone is sick (in which case they may phone) or at end of shift....

people turning up early and expecting pay just saps the cash from profit line at end of week, and those that work for free are silly, or volunteers ;)

Can you even sack somebody on the spot these days?
Don't you need verbal and written warnings?

most places like macdonalds and supermarkets can. they put new staff on 6month or year long trial periods. they can sack someone for any reason whatsoever during that period

AFAIK he wasnt expecting pay. he just turned up a bit early

ive done it before in a job i liked. the bus would get me there 20 mins early. was better to go in and pretend to do something than to stand outside in the rain :p

Teaches you to not put any effort into companies who really dont care about their employees at all.

I work for tesco part time i laze about im late and make no effort, way it should be end of day they'd fire me in heartbeat if they got excuse so why would i even bother trying lol.

Although you may and indeed do regret your choice of words, she hardly by the sounds of it acted 100% professionally herself. How long have you worked there ? Have you spoken to Citizens advice or the Job Center?

Good luck for the future m8. Shouldn't be that hard really just to get a fill in job whilst you're Uni. :)

Sometimes you look at a thread and you know in a years time it will become a classic...

Simply move on, theres a reason the 43 y/o is a gobby McD worker.
