The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Anyone else involved in Invention? I've had a good run the last week or so with 50-60% success rate and with the item involved even with this rate of success you can bring in some nice iskies :).
 
My luck of late has not been great about 20-30% :( Vic from the Alliance had a 0/10 on NightHawks, really harsh when you are using the good decryptors
 
i think i remember reading somewhere about in the near future they will be reworking the combat in this game?
anyone know anything about this?
or did i juts make it up/dream it?
fully possible, my dreams are that bland

I've been inventing small components that sell in high volumes with a retail price of around 500k to 2.5mill ISK. Many of them (even after buying the decryptors(this is based on running 10 BPCs and having a success rate of 50%)) can still net around 60-80% margins :).

If I told you what I'd invented you'd call me a liar because what I invented isn't supposed to come out of invention. I sold it recently for a cool 70 billion after having used it for a while and earned around ten bil from it.

wouldnt this classed as exploiting a bug? proberly best to report it.

If CCP find out they normally come down rather harsh on people who exploit bugs. Especially if its making you so much isk.
 
You'll notice I say "isn't supposed to come out of invention". Shortly after, I asked the question because I'd heard rumours about things that occasionally drop from invention and was told that it's fine. I know better than just to take advantage like that. It just seems I got very, very lucky.
 
Feek, just wondering if I could pick your brains? How effective will invention be if I want to produce T2 hulls for myself, as in not for sale. Will I see much of a reduction in price from what's on the market you think?

Is it worth going into production for myself you think? I can get decryptors etc. from exploration and I'm tempted to get a third account for industry.
