*** Street Fighter IV League (Season 2) ***

Hmm for some reason its working at 60fps recording now without lowering res. Weird. Might be cos i record on my new samy 1tb instead of the slow as nails ide.

Hang on... There is only one person who cannot connect to me.. I did have some issues with Naan previously but it works now.
 
OK, I've added everyone (except naan and sem) but I've got a strange problem with Fraps. It records fine, and doesn't seem to effect the fps, but it seems to stop recording on it's own for some reason and I only get about 30secs. I checked the Fraps FAQ and it says that it keeps recording until you press the record button again. :confused:

Adz, my 1st choice is C.Viper. Still thinking about my 2nd choice.

Edit, its because I don't have the full version of Fraps. :rolleyes:

Xfire has basically a clone of fraps built in plus u can chat to mates ingame through xfire so canny good to use. Plus no limits like 30secs of video. Or there is CamStudio which is great if u have xvid codec pack installed or similar and switch to that codec tho if u use xvid codec when recording starts ull get a pop up window with charts or somit, close that to gain performance without messing up the recording.

e36Adz maybe add this info about programs used to record in the first post in the info sections of ur post for recording games? For them 3 programs and maybe guides to use em like i semi did.
 
Can anyone make a post about how to record games? I have not recorded games at all using my PC and would appreciate a dummys guide to it :)
Presumably up to youtube?
 
Fraps is well known but isnt really the best of the best anymore since xfire has exactly same video recording as fraps and totally free id say thats more popular now. Then camstudio which can record desktop with voice as well as gaming.

From reading through it seems only im unable to connect with you now. Have you sorted out your NAT and UPnP problems. Ive read that a strick NAT setting can cause issues, also you need UPnP working really

That's fine mate but it was definately more then 1 person who had trouble connecting with you, luckily in most cases the problem was sorted. :) Hopefully this time round there will be no issues, BUT if it so happens that you can't connect with someone after trying numerous times I will have to appoint a win and points to the other person otherwise they will be penalised unfairly. Hopefully though like I said, it won't come to this. I can't think of any other way around it, is that ok with you?

I rang O2 and they said they cannot change the NAT from Strict to Open. I am going to borrow a Netgear DG834 and that should hopefully solve it.
It is only you I have issues with now..

Thats strange then becuase im with O2 and my NAT is set to open. I originally used the 02 wireless box and my NAT was strict but i was having problems with the router in L4D so i changed to a Netgear DG834GT and my NAT was then displaying as 'open' in GFWL. Now even when i use the standart O2 routers its still 'open'.

Have you been able to get UPnP working though? because when i first got SFIV I didnt realise that windows firewall was blocking UPnP and i coulndt connect to anyone. When i set UPnP Framework as an exception under windows firewall settings my problem was solved :)
