What the hell is this?

I saw a HUGE one of these in Cyprus.

Was swimming in outdoor pool, just went under the water for a couple mins then it was gone.

I'm hard as nails me.
 
Oh come on they're not that scary - it's just like a big wasp. The sting does hurt more than a wasp sting, but it's not exactly THAT painful.
 
I got a wasp sting on my leg, it turned into a cut then scabbed, was like a mini crater O_o, first wasp sting that, never thought they where so bad.
 
I was mountain biking in Majorca and one flew into the middle of my chest, the damn thing just sat there in my chest hair, I slammed on the breaks and smacked the damn thing off me, it looked like it could have just whipped out one of my ribs and munched away road side bbq me on the menu, uber soldat insects!.
 
My last house had a hornets nest in a tree about 10 yards from it, every summer we got them constantly, I think I got stung about 10 times while I lives their and they hurt like a son of a bitch.

Then again I was about 13 and I did tend to try and swat them down with sticks so I think it may have been largely my fault.
 
Looks like a japanese hornet, they can get huge it might be a juvenile. kill it before it kills our humble bumblebee, rips the bees heads off for fun, watched it on some David Attenborough nature thing, i think
 
Children killed by swarm of hornets

Three children have died in Malaysia after being stung by hornets while walking with their mother.

Six-year-old Sze Ying and her three-year-old brother Chun Jie died hours after they were admitted to the Sarawak General Hospital.

Elder sister Chen Sze Ting, eight, fell into a coma after suffering numerous stings and died on Tuesday night.

They were set upon by the hornets while on a stroll on a hill near their home at the Sungai Moyang flats in Batu Kawa.

Their uncle Lan Chia, who was also stung, has recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

A spokeswoman for the hospital, in the eastern state of Sarawak, said the children's mother Tan Wan Chew, 29, remains in an intensive care unit.

Hmm.. hang on a second, we have thousands of useless scumbag chavs, and in Malaysia they have hornets that can kill............... I think I have some sort of plan! I NEED PLANES STAT!
