Terrible speeds on Entanet

Arghh.. Struggling to maintain 200kb/s download speed here with ADSL24, is everyone raping the connection as its the weekend? :(

800kb/s is easily achieved on this line, as tested throughout the week.

upload of 50k steadyish(synched at 792 so a bit slow there :( )
Best i can get as i am 0ver5km from the exchange in the sticks

I am struggling to reach 150kb/s! It is so frustrating knowing I can average 700kb/s.

I think it is time to move on from ADSL24, trying to find a decent alternative but there aren't many packages out there similar to ADSL24's Office 45 package.

I dunno if it is wise to switch to another Entranet reseller or not.

Just seen the 'packages' in the O-Bit trial and they don't look very good value for money tbh.

Someone in the thread over there mentioned Titan ADSL, their package seems a hell of a lot better!

You get 8mb line, with 100gb monthly usage for £20.65.
 
anyone know what the pings will be like on the new obit service - I moved to adsl24 for the pings so changing and finding a crappy ping would defeat the object?

From all my ADSL24 forum searching in the past few weeks i have only saw download speed being affected. I found these tests interesting from an ADSL24 user.

I suppose it's still a good line for gaming (which i will mainly use the line for)
 
Just found a new provider which may be worth a look. They are called fast.co.uk

Sure they are abit more expensive (33 quid for a 45GB cap) but i have not read one single bad review of the company and the customer support must be the best i have seen. I sent an email off and i had a reply back in 7 minutes.

A member at the 02 forum switched to them and hes getting maxxed out 24/7.

For people who are thinking of leaving ENTA I cant sing Be*s praises high enough :)

You wont regret the move!





Should also point out this costs me £12pm!!!

Yes but most of us aren't on LLU so your recommendation is pointless.
