The all encompassing BNP thread - keep all crap in here.

Straw man.

I wonder what you'd say if immigrants who do your job flooded over in huge numbers, and your pay fell to £12k a year, if you'd be as blasé about mass immigration as you are currently :)
I guess it would be like anyone with half a brain when everyone started doing I.T. degrees and so your generic IT support monkey is now a minimum wage job - der graduates tk er jebs?

You look to stay ahead of the market, re-skill, look at opportunities - i.e. wait a sec, loads of people are flooding in, I know the market - why not use that employment and manage the drones rather than being one.

Perhaps I don't feel like I am entitled to an easy ride just because I was born here?

I don't say that you or anyone else should get an EASY ride, but I do think our own workforce should have more protection from massive competition from unfettered immigration in the jobs market. I think every political party agrees with that in fact, they just differ on how far they would go to achieve it. (ie. Labour has paid lip service to it, nothing more.)

It would be a shame to lose British culture forever due to massive amounts of immigration and mutli culturism, I for one enjoy visiting other countries and experiancing the culture of that nation. Really would be a big shame if we lost the British culture.

example..... My mums husband (re-married) works in the building trade, 55 y/o, earned decent money, work dries up, cant get work cos a) the banks cocked up big time b) foreign workers willing to work for half the money!

he is a proud man and will not work for minimum wage or just above at 55 y/o but at the same time cant get a job for anything that will enable him to carry on his pension contributions, pay his mortgage and have a social life. he ended up out of work, skint, drank too much leading to my mum and him splitting, selling their home and both in a ****ty place right now

but hey, thats just his fault, he should have just worked for minimum wage and been greatful for having a job! ******

What benefit has his refusal to accept the reality of his situation given him?

What exactly are we losing due to immigration though? What has gone already?

so he should just accept it?

get real, to what extent are we all willing to get shafted? I mean seriously, lets just all bend over, take one for Queen and country and be grateful.

sorry but I am nigh on 40, worked since 16, paid taxes and so forth, have teenage kids and I bloody fear for them.

so thats good then, waheyyyyyyyyyyyyy

it needs to be cheaper cos wages are less, taxation is higher, we all have sky, bband, cars, ipods, mobiles

I may be a bit old fashioned and I am not against progression, but, are we really progressing?

It's reality, he doesn't really have a lot of choice. Immigration is just the latest in a list of excuses offered by people who can't get the job they want at the rates they want so don't bother. Previous excuses have included the younger generation who will work for less, non-union workers who will work for less etc etc.

The job market in the past has often (and still does) give pay for tenure rather than ability or value, and it's a shock when you have to survive on your skills alone, not skills combined with tenure/inertia.

No, but you have to accept responsibility for situations and do what you can, not give up and blame everyone else.

So do I, but only because of the massive debts Labour are saddling them with.

He had a right to expect more from the government who is elected to represent US and to look out for US the people, not for foreigners.

'US' doesn't necessarily mean the minimum wage menial employees though - the government could be doing a great job of looking out for 'US' - the country - its just the minimum-wagers perhaps just aren't that important.

If you look at successful people all over the world these days, they are flexible and adaptable,- hell sometimes they fail and fail and fail again until they get it right - they don't expect the world to work for them, they make the world work for them, whether by re-skilling, moving to areas of new employment instead of sitting rotting and complaining about how everything is so hard nowadays.

I don't think any of those muppets would understand the irony.

The point is many of the people losing out due to mass immigration WERE earning a good wage, well above minimum wage, before being exposed to the cold wind of massive job competition.

People who DID do well in their education and/or who DID learn a useful trade.

UAF are bunch of thugs yet again I can see them for what they are on national TV

and they call BNP thugs , make me laugh you wait until the population hit 71m as predicted where on earth are they going to work
