**Official Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Thread**

I got the Steel Fist Master and Expert rophies in 10 minutes :cool:

Started Chapter 4 on Very easy, gave myself a P-08 and started running towards the enemies, shooting once and then punching, I got a few sliding kicks and a few that required two blows so I thought I would not get it but it popped up anyway so it looks like the requirements aren't that strict.

I also started Crushing and go to Chapter 5 and so far it doesn't feel that Crushing is that much more difficult than Hard, I also did the Melee bit in one go, saying that you do get killed a bit faster on Crushing, grey screen = take cover immediately :p

Ah you have the trophy but has it ticked it in the bonus menu. It didn't for me :(

If you've used chapter select to load an earlier level and chose not to save / overwrite your save you will get the trophy but it won't show up in your bonus menu.

I did the same on UC1.. loaded up the first mission, chose not to save over my original game to get the steel fist trophies, got them, but when I quit to continue my game they didn't show up in the bonus menu.

Ah, I see, I find using Chapter Select to be very confusing as you get the Save Game option and I never really know if I should overwrite the savegame or make a new one.

Somehow I did it right with the Steel Fist ones as I did it the same way.
 
Anyone for MP? I am online now.

Also, I completed the game on Hard 1st time round. Do I just go to "New game" and then opt to keep my treasures and medals, to start my Crushing playthrough?

You can just go via level select if you want, as long as you do the final chapter last. Thats the way i did it most of the time, i tried the harder ones first to see if i thought it would annoy me to much (it didnt). In total i have pretty much gone through the games 3 times fully and once treasure hunting on levels i didnt get them all first time. I had a go on crushing with one shot kills earlier and it feels more like a movie lol.

I may just press new game, as I am going to do the levels in sequence just like my 1st playthrough.

Cheers for the MP games today stella. I will be back online tomorrow evening. I think it may be time to try and master the Sanctuary or Village in Survival mode. Plaza and Lost City are too easy now :)

Good games throughout today had a good few matches with dinakin the snipergecko and eyetrip .
Its a shame every deathmatch we had was against rank 30 + but hey i will get some good photo,s up tomorrow of us guys :D

Rp2000 you will have to join us hopefully so if we get 5 we can have some sort of plan on the plunder and chain reaction maps .
Dont mind doing survival and yeah the other maps are more of a challenge to be honest when there are only 2 people :)

Have a good time tomorrow with your club :p catch up with over the weekend ;)
 
Yeah, thanks for tha games Stella, Sniper and Gecko. Was good fun. Just wish I knew why my hedsets volume was so low - did try the volume button, but didn't make a diff.

Wish could have stayed longer, but after the day I had yesterday at work was just feeling awful - was still determined to play though, and picture my bosses face on everyone I was shooting!

Will be up for more over the weekend, though unfortunately not tonight as got people coming round :(
 
Have you looked in the headset options ffallic? The volume button on the headset itself only controls the output through the speaker, in the actual options menu iirc there's somewhere to modify the microphone volume from 1-5 (5 being the loudest)
 
Yeah, I did set the mic volume to 3, but the problem was I couldn't hear anyone very well. Though when Sniper came on I could hear him a lot better than the other, so not sure what the problem. Also, the volume seems lower in the game than in the menus.
 
Up to Chapter 8 now on Crushing and I have to say blindfire and manual camera aiming before pressing L1 is a must, pop out a little too long to take a few shots and it is goodbye.

I am glad I have played 2 times already as I know which strategies and spots work and what doesn't work, but I am fearing the bit where you are pinned down from all sides and two minigunners arrive and the levels after that.
 
Has anyone else tried playing Uncharted 1 since completing Uncharted 2?

I've started it all over again last night and OMG is it tough! You cant sustain even half the amount of bullet fire you can in the second game and enemy's are even harder to dispose of which makes the lack of ammo a problem as well. To be expected aiming isn't as polished as it is in the second game but playing it through on Normal I was not expecting such a hard time of it :(

Must see it through though, I'm only on chapter 5 - a lot of frustrating nights to come.....

I stopped playing UC1 on hard at the firefight in the sewer area where the enemies come from all sides.

But since then my pad aiming skillz have improved so maybe I will pick it up again and see if it goes better now.
