You haven't told her about the brand new diesel Golf you bought and you are embarrased - that's the truth isn't it.![]()
Your being a bit mean to your mum dont you think? Its just Facebook.
Mums need more respect and love. She brought you into this world, the least you can do is do something for her.
I would think that you'd be doing her a favour to be honest...Your being a bit mean to your mum dont you think? Its just Facebook.

Apparently, my mum has seen all the pictures on my facebook anyway through my sister (who is also not my friendI'm lucky in that my parents think that adults over 40 are cringeworthy on facebook, trying ot be like the kids. However, if my mum wants to see my facebook she just asks my sister who is my friend.
While there is grotesque stuff on my facebook from time to time, I couldn't care less if my mum sees it. She knows who I am anyway.

I can't see a problem.
Both of my daughters (who are in their 20's) have added me and we can all see each other in embarassing situations.
eg
Lol Daddy, how drunk are you?
You need to change your security settings then!
or...
"check out *dmpools daughter name* with me, omar and tripod bubba!"
I have a policy of no immediate family or work people on facebook. If mum added me on it, I would just tell her my policy. I can't think of a reason why she would get offended?
That's just wierd when you have such a close relationship with your parents that you can talk like that...
Am so jealous![]()

In my job i advise mums and dads to add get their kids to add them to their facebook. It's one of the best ways to know what your kids are up too.
So because she brought me into the world, I should respect her love for me by subjecting her to pictures of her son vomiting down himself and dressed in a Bugs Bunny costume? Besides if it's 'just Facebook' she won't be too disappointed.
The last thing I want is to be mean to my mum, I'd class it as being 'cruel to be kind', which is why I want to let her down gently.
