The pilots would'nt follow me :confused: they just kept shooting the enemy and dieing,stupid idiots :p

I managed to kill all of the enemies and thought sweet, lets get to the extraction point. Then the mofo wouldnt follow me! After much swearing I had to literally keep running into him until I finally got the rescue point. so 800m's of pushing will result in you winning.

I'm glad only the one chopper guy survived otherwise I would have had to make two trips which would have resulted in much friendly fire!!!

If the stupid engine would render a bloke for me at 2.4km, I'l take him :D

How are you supposed to get in the fuel dump to blow up the generator? tried several attempts at creeping in but all hell breaks loose. Is there a hole in the fence or something I should look for

Easiest way, shoot the oil barrels next to the generator. You can blow it up without even having to pass the front gate.
 
Hi all,

i have a question about the PC version of the game.

i've noticed on youtube that at the start of each level you can hear the commander speaking while the subtitles roll on the sreeen. When i play the game on my PC all i get is subtitles.... no one is saying anything. i can still hear the back ground noise (guns and so on... but thats it). Is it meant to be like this?!

Can some one please help!

ps. i have xonar DX2 Sound card and Logitech Z-5500 speakers


It's intermittent on mine, playing away & the subtitles come on & I hear the commander & then a little later all I get is the subs, I also notice that sometimes when I drop to the menu selection screen to reload a checkpoint my mouse pointer disappears & I have to use the keys. possible fixes in a patch hopefully.
A thing that annoys me is the blurred colourless few seconds you get when you respawn, what's the point of that? I have been shot a couple of times while in 'waking up mode' or whatever they call it :confused:

What i did was use the 'Move fast' command and place the marker on the hill in the distance, everyone seems to react to it, but they dont really fight back in a fire fight. at least it gets the pilots moving though :)

Also had an annoying glitch on the next mission, i messed up the sneaky approach and got my team mates killed, after a long time of carefully taking out all enemies by myself i went to the extraction chopper only for it to remain there even when im sat inside. i havnt had the energy to replay the mission yet

ok thanks for the reply........ i get almost no voice action what so ever.... well maybe if im standing next to one of my guy when i give an order.... just finished the game.... was a cool but soooo many bugs as noted on this forum.

started having a mad problem wth this. Occasionally when entering a vehicle, my gpu clock and shader speeds will drop to thier 2d values, which makes the game become unplayable. At first though it was a problem with my overclock but as it does the same at stock speeds and is reproducable by entering a vehicle in game then i can only assume its of2.

Only on mission 10 so its not a massive issue just now. As the game progresses though it will be a right problem as it requires a full system restart to fix. Anyone else had this one? cant find anything similar on the official forum.
 
This game is pretty hard in SP, harder than MW1 was

I'm failing at taking and holding the airfield control tower without having my team die a painfully death
 
Well scratch my last post. Cant believe theres only 11 campaign missions! ANd they're so short. Absolutely gutted as i was starting to enjoy this. Judging by the credits it loks like the dev team should have spent less tim ****ing about with toy swords and more on building the game.
 
I have an annoying problem in that sometimes all sound is completely lost and I have to restart the game and often the whole system. This happens a lot in multiplayer (though to be honest it does not affect my crappy capabilities). The other gripes I have are the hassle of getting into a multiplayer game, no leaning, non-destructable trees and lack of bif towns or civilian background, all of which I have seen put up as issues with Arma2 but which I think are handled better by the BIS title.

Otherwise, overall gameplay is quite good and the graphics I find grow on you, and with more time I looke the features offered in the editor.

Incidently, I find hardcore is pretty tough, especially in the dark missions in MP, though it could be I need more experience. I think the Chinese and US soldier models are very similar looking (afraid my knowledge of Chinese uniforms and webbing is non-existent).

Just my opinion.

I find the field commanders voice (SP) sometimes stops & only subtitles appear, I find that going into options /audio & selecting restore defaults brings the sound back sometimes
 
I'll be playing this when I get my new pc up and running...
I was a fanatic player of the original OFP series (CWC, Red Hammer & resistance) and loved every minute of it...

Codemasters got greedy and BIS (Makers of the original OFP) left..
Codemasters have TRIED to make Flashpoint like it was - FAIL! :D

ArmA2 for me I think... Gonna play this through first and see what it's like :cool:
