As titled. I'm deliberating whether to bother switching my PC on to play Crysis. I've only ever played it for about half an hour at a time. The graphics certainly are stunning I'm just wondering whether anything alters in the gameplay from the basic run to point A, shoot some people, run to point B, shoot some people.

Worth the hours or not? :)

I think so, you can tackle missions in many different ways so certainly different then linear single player games like CoD

Yes, the campaign its brilliant in my opinion. Hopefully the story will grip you. The story gets even better after you play crysis warhead too. Bring on Crysis 2 :D

I might give it a go tonight then. I think I've played the beginning of the game about 4 times now. I just lose interest after the first 30-40 minutes. :(

i spent most of it hovering over flames to recharge! grrr makes me annoyed just thinking about it! if i wanted a flight sim i would have bought one!

Yeh, if you lost interest after 30mins then its probs not worth it. You need a LOT of patience for the alien levels and often the game can just get confusing when it comes to boss fights. I mean what the hell - i shot that big thing at the end repeatedly for about ten mins and it didnt die. I tried the legs, the head the arms - you name it, i shot it.

As it isn't totally linear, you have to be a bit inventive to have the most fun. I used to think it was boring untill someone on this forum suggested how to play it.

Always play on the hardest difficulty and Instead of sniping from a distance, jump in and have fun using all your different abilities. Try and tackle the situations as differently as possible, i.e instead of shooting the men in the jeep, moving on, shooting the people in the camp. Comandear the jeep, ride full pelt at the camp jump out at the last second then snipe the fuel cannister and blow it up, activate stealth and in the confusion come in and finish off the survivers from behind.

I didnt mind the alien bits, but the further I progressed in the game the more apparent the bugs/glitches became (the final scenario particularly). Still worth completing though.

Warhead is the only one I've played.

Last mission two scouts seem to get stuck in the sky instead of trying to kill me, I got the PAX and went back especially for them. YOU'RE FREE NOW :)

Also, the game doesn't indicate that the RANGE of the PAX is (a) much shorter than the range of the laser dot and (b) that the PAX projectile explodes at its maximum range in exactly the same way as if it had hit something...

I spent ages firing that thing at the red hunter and funnily enough it was doing **** all.

Eventually found I had to be close enough for him to walk over and stand above me and I needed to fire into its gob -_-

I did enjoy Crysis, it was a good FPS and the alien levels weren't that bad either. The VTOL level was pathetically bad though - all the vehicle gameplay was bad, actually - they blew up far too quickly and were awkward to control.
Haven't got round to playing Warhead yet, but i'm hoping it's more of the same.

Tbh, I don't know what every one moaned about, the alien levels weren't half bad and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

I think after you've played it through once, you enjoy it more the second time, at least I did.

I liked the story but for me the non-alien start was best, perhaps i like the reality more than the fiction :)

If you want to make the game last never use the suit to hide!

The quicksave kinda means you can play to win in any way!
