Crysis worth completing?

Same as with Farcry 1 it was great until the Aliens turned up. It was like they ran out of ideas. The bit in the zero grav chamber thing was horrid.

Definitely, yes the alien levels a blip but even that's better than some of the tosh I've played recently.

Play on delta, and try different ways of completing missions whether its geographically (you can normally see different routes to take) or rambo style/stealthy grabbing people by the throats etc/sniping.

I like yout style, bro. I am playing Delta. Much better and actually have to try. Warhead is good too. Different weapons and vehicles. I loved every minute of the first gae. One problem, I played it with an 8800 and a Q6600, so the framerate was bad. Now I play maxed!! (well, ok, sort of :))
 
I thought it was a great game! To be honest, bought it purely for the graphics and took a me a while to properly get into it, but really enjoyed it by the end. As others have said, theres a zero mavity bit which is a pain and flying the VTOL is a bit weak lol, but overall I loved it!! Would happily play through again. The final boss (well, first final boss haha) is one of the hardest bosses Ive fought for a hell of a long time in a game, definately relieved when it died
 
Its great till you get to the cave and have to float about, that was utter crap that, so i stopped playing when i got out at the other side, as that level ruined it.
 
I really should complete this. I spent so much time trying to get it running perfectly and looking nice that I never really got more than 30 minutes in before getting bored.
 
the floaty bit is the only annoying part. first time through i think i kind of fluked it because it didn't seem to take that long. on my 2nd attempt i was in there for ****** ages going round in circles. :rolleyes: :D

overall, it's a great game and simply must be played.
 
It is a fantastic game, great graphics and great gameplay.

Make the most of every aspect of the suit though, as it makes the game so much more fun.

I enjoyed them, but I'm going to wait a year or so before I pick them up again

I'd rather have most settings on full/max, to see it in all it's glory, at a decent FPS

It's definately worth completing. Once you get past the zero-grav bit, it gets better again :)

Great game, but with one of the worst levels of any game ever. It's amazing just how much the zero-grav bit sucked compared to the rest! It's a similar thing with Warhead - it was a great game, but the hoverboat section was horrific!

That can get frustrating, but persevere - its an enjoyable section once you're out, huge change in gameplay taking on the aliens.

I know some people moan about it, but I cant think of any other FPS's that have such a dramatic change mid-game in enemy types.

Oh, and as getting control of the Koreans' AA artillery... thats just ace! :p
