Crysis worth completing?

Crysis is a strange one for me. I play it and then get stuck at a boss fight or whathaveyou. I then leave it for a few weeks and go back to it and play a few more levels. Played on the harder settings, it takes a while to complete. The campaign is quite long.

I have owned it a while and have only just got to the bit with the crystals when Nomad gets trapped underground.
Cracking game, deffo recommend completing it, I just got a bit frustrated at the difficulty sometimes. But that's me!

I think that Squirrel said it best on the first page. I've spent so long trying to get it looking pretty AND running smooth that by the time that's happened I've only really played about 30 minutes before getting bored. That said though, later on this evening after the rugby I think I'm going to give it a proper go. Get it all patched up, running well and then just play for a few hours.
The general consensus seems to be that after those aliens turn up then it gets a bit pants.

Yes! IMHO Crysis is the number one game that was better when I went back to play it that it was when I first played it. I hated it when it first came out, worst performance (even on high hardware) I'd ever seen.
I've gone back and think it's very good. I think Warhead is probably more focused fun but obviously Crysis is longer. Now that I can finally max it out I really enjoy Crysis, particularly the first three quarters of it, not so much the last part. Overall I think it's a very good game, and obviously gorgeous.

Always puzzles me how people can get arsed and asked muddled up.... odd people!
It's because they can't talk properly.
Right I've been inspired to replay this game due to the fact i have a better gpu my old 8800GTX showed its age a bit with crysis.
Two thing I could do with some help,
1 how do i no what version im on can remember patching it but not sure whats latest and what version im running
2 How the hell do you turn down the Mounted gun sensitivity I've turned down the main one and with a normal gun its very slow just how I like it, use a mounted though and it spin 720 degrees if i move the mouse just a mm

OK until you get to either the ship flying (which is the worst controls ever for any PC game ever) and the aliens bit I pretty much ran through as it was that tedious.
Not a game I'll make the effort to play again. Pretty though.

You have to play it on delta, and use all your powers. Otherwise it sucks.
what is delta like on Crysis - I found it impossible on Farcry even on the earlier levels, can't even imagine what the final corridor fight would be like on it...
when I upgrade PC shortly after xmas going to go back and play through them all on maxed graphics, so maybe I should max the difficulty as well. Do you not end up stealthing your way through everything as a result though? I did that enough on the setting below...

Ive been waiting for some sort of vietnam mod for crysis. Would be pretty good. I would have preferred they scrapped all the last levels and made some more realistic ones, maybe a few on water where you drove from island to island or something. Or some more night levels
Delta is easy, just use less stealth and more speed run

I really liked it - I got quite far but then had to format and forgot to backup my save data for the game :/
Got it a few weeks ago but didnt get that far. Spent about 3 hours trying to hide from a helicpoter, damn thing just kept following me along a river. Used a combination of stealth and hiding behind trees but even though it couldnt see still seemed to be following me. After many many tries I eventualy got past it, but hard drive failed and lost the save game, dreading going through that again so havent played since, must have bgeen doing it wrong shooting it down would probably be the best option but didnt have the firepower to do it
