Crysis worth completing?

I wish they could make it harder, maybe take away the suit for a start or 1/4 the stealth time at least. Then make the AI as hard as Vietcong on Vietcong mode
 
I thoroughly enjoyed Crysis and Warhead, played them back to back. I liked the change to fighting the aliens as for most of the game you're fighting the Koreans, sneaking through the jungle etc. and the aliens added a nice change of pace, a different challenge.

If you want it to look good and run well try the custom configs that are out there, especially the CCC pack. Check out incrysis.com to get the latest versions, i played through with it on a GTX260 and it looked ace!

and if so what settings did you run it on as like you i have a 260gtx q6600 and 4ghz of ram.

Used a combination of stealth and hiding behind trees but even though it couldnt see still seemed to be following me. After many many tries I eventualy got past it, but hard drive failed and lost the save game, dreading going through that again so havent played since, must have bgeen doing it wrong shooting it down would probably be the best option but didnt have the firepower to do it :(

Did someone forgot to keep his rockets inside his rocket launcher until the helicopter showed up? :p :D
 
MY issue with the mounted machine guns spinning at a million miles an hour can anyone help please, ive done repeated google searches checked all the options but still I cant see how you turn it down.

Its killing the game for me :( Im using a razer deathadder with max dpi etc with a very low in game mouse speed normal aiming is brilliant. Mounted guns is making me feel sick. move my mouse 1mm and it spins 20 times.

HELP!!!!!!
 
It seems to be something strange with mouse acceleration, if i move it slow it moves dead fast if i move the mouse fast the crossair moves very slow. this is only with mounted guns so far. I dont get it mouse acceleration is turned off in razer CP
 
Well I'd love to play it start to finish but my desktop pc has just gone **** up this morning after turning it on for the first time in a month or so. Just reinstalling windows and hopefully I can go back and give it a proper chance. :)
 
crysis was 70% of a good game, vtol and alien level where ok but when i get there i give up and play another game. My pc would run maxed out, when it came to the alien, snow, ice levels i lagged a lot. Thats why i gave up on them

It would be good if crysis would bring out a close combat, like you have to invade a city with 3 other guys with suit, and your mostly close combat, you have numerous ways to get to top of buildings etc. With cloak to stealth your way up, stength to punch your way through walls, speed to run quickly down long corridors, I would quite enjoy that, might not be everyones cup of tea but its my opinion on what could be good :)
 
What was the Vtol? That ****ty helicopter thing? I hated that bit and just dashed throught the level without fighting to get to the ship...and then gave up after fannying around on the deck during an endless fight with the crappy aliens. Are there ary crap bits in Warhead?

I second this.

When Crysis first came out there was a great divide between people that liked the game and people that didn't. I later realised that this was mainly due to the way everyone played it. To get the most enjoyment out of this game, you have to forget about conventional FPS's and start being more inventive with your abilities.

yeah it was a waste, kept getting disorientated, at one point i thought i was playing halo or something :o

should have stuck to the jungle, i also dont like the winter levels - especially warhead :(

YUp, that's the one. I think i installed Level 4, TOD and Realistic shadows then tweaked the config myself to a level where i was happy with it. The mod comes with an excel file with most of the config variables explained so tweak it til you're happy.

It's a slow starter of a game but as I said, I really enjoyed it.
