Takeaway pizza

It's ridiculously expensive. When in Australia I was paying £2.50 for a large dominos on Tuesdays and £4.50 on normal days.

Why is it three times the price here?

My local pizza places are great, they only seem cheap and nasty when it comes to the price when people compare them to the likes of dominoes and papa John's which are utter rip offs.

I can get a 12" Pizza with 2 toppings, regular fries and a canned drink for £6.

£4 for the 10" version.

Pizzas are far better than any crap I've tasted from Papa John's or Dominoes.

Also, does anyone use the website:

www.just-eat.co.uk ?

I use it most take away orders as I can pay via card and still have it delivered.

Because idiots demonstrate that they're willing to pay such prices.

7" for £1 was always my fav when i was younger.

I go for something a bit more substantial nowadays though.

Theres some rather good pizza takeaways in hull but most of them are quite pricey also depending on which side of hull you live at. The chinese takeaways are by far the best quality wise though around here plus best value for money so thats what we get if we are ordering in.

Also slightly off topic but if you want truly lovely pizza get the base mixtures from asda for just less than £2 and just add water and roll them out. Get 2 good sized pizzas and they always turn out gorgeous.

Oh WOW! I can see a gastric bypass coming my way now!

It truly is a great website. They have a points system thing, but the points are crap.

They used to have xboxes on it, I some how doubt the people who won them had the ability to get up and swap games though. :D

i got a curry ordered for delivery for dinner today, and i'm going to get a chinese for tuesday. The reason i find takeaways annoying usually, is that i don't normally have more than a tenner on me, so teh ability to pay by card is fantastic!

Same for me, I very rarely keep cash around unless I'm buying something specifically where I need to use cash.

Just eat is great for being lazy, the only annoyance is the 50p charge for using my card, but it beats going the cashpoint late at night, which is when I do most of my take away ordering, when friends are over and we're watching a movie or something.

I'm slightly more lazy than that. I order when i cbb to leave my room to make something from the kitchen. I wish i had some sort of pneumatic tube which i could have the delivery guy put my takeaway in and it get sucked into my room.

Recently I have abandoned pizza hut, dominos and the like for smaller cheaper and better pizza places.

Fillmybelly and justeat are very good too!

I have many local pizza delivery places (it is London after all!) however the one I use is fair priced and use a wood burning oven to cook their pizzas - they are very good, nice thin crust and great ingredients, a 15" is under £14 with free delivery. Not bad really. Absolutely no grease in the box - can't stand cheesy greasy pizzas, they're disgusting - they use just enough cheese.
