Best 'practical' fun sportscar for 25k or less

Cerbera's rear seats are even more laughable than 997's.

cant believe an cossie is a precise machine as either a 997 c2 or CSL. its 4wd for start, and old design 4wd at that. the engine is hardly the last word in responsive progressive power delivery.

Mint condition Escos with change left over for parts/servicing/few nice mods??

It may be old but is still a great car to drive and with a few nice mods can easily crack 300+bhp and imo has more road presence than a CSL/C4S

You'd have to be a complete Ford nut to sink 15-20k into an escort cossie.

Then, it would spend the rest of its life in its heated garage, getting preened on weekends :p

Would have to be a 911 mun :)

Purchase would be in 12-18 months, I'm just keen to get some ideas.

I know it's not 2+2 but I'd love an nsx.. I just think I'd get it and be gutted I didn't go for the 911 !

I totally get the csl but I'm not totally sure it's as special as a 911 or nsx ?

which 911 would you be looking at? are 997s really this cheap now? (or will be, when the time comes..)

I love my s2k, I really do, and with the mods I have it's probably up there as in the top 20 or so in the uk for handling, however the next car has the risk of being the one special car. There risk of small footsteps hindering future purchases as well as the requirement to move out of town and buy somewhere suitable to house said footsteps. As such I guess I'm looking at this as the 'make your choice take your chance !' car.

Nothing in the thread so far has made me go omg get that over either a 911 or an NSX so I'll see what the future holds and get some test drives lined up :-)
