Their isn't one, and I guess you'd have to pay.

best bet is to ask on the darkfall forums or google Darkfall Wiki, thats your best bet.
 
State of the Game - Update + Second Free Expansion news

Hi everyone,

Right now we are putting the finishing touches on our next patch, which we plan to have ready by the end of this week.

With this patch we are adding a significant skill-up bonus to fighting mobs, essentially tripling the speed of skill-ups compared to hitting other players. At the same time we have doubled the speed of skilling up all magic schools. This means that all skills involving combat are now leveling up three times as fast as before, and leveling magic schools are six times as fast as before when fighting monsters.

This change will help newer players catch up to veterans faster. We also think it will make it even more attractive to go out and fight monsters, which in turn should lead to more open field PvP.

In this patch we have also fixed the underlying problem with battlespikes and damage modifiers. The hotfix we released last week was temporary, and we will adjust the modifiers back to their correct values now that the root of the issue has been fixed.

Other than the upcoming patch, the development team is hard at work with the second free expansion for Darkfall, which is currently scheduled for release by the end of October. This expansion is a lot bigger than the first, and we are extremely excited about it. We will give you more detailed information on the many new features over the coming weeks.

It includes many changes and additions to ship building, sea combat and sea objectives, part two of our character specialization system - this time some much needed love for archery and melee combat, the first step of local banking, player owned local vendors, the first set of racial skills, barber shop, the caravan system, new houses and villages, new housing objects to decorate your house with, wandering mobs, more rare drops added to monsters, new free spawning objects to discover, and much more.

I've unsubscribed for a month to have a small break, their is only so much of loosing your equipment you can take over the course of 5 months but I'll be keeping my eye on this, sounds promising but could also fall through.

I hope this picks up the game as I'm finding the pvp a bit tedious at the moment due to people getting high end magic and I'm not able to do anything about it really as I get my arse handed to me everytime.

This hopefully might fix things but I can only hope.

How come you're waiting for NA transfers?

are you from NA or is you're playtime better at NA times?

Personally I really cant wait for this next expansion, but I guess it doesn't come with more communication :<. I'll be resubbing for definite at the end of october, just need a carebear break :D.

I live in NA, a boring little town now, anyway a lot of my guild is over here & the rest are trransfering when they are allowed.

Thats because you've not tried to do anything, join a guild that belongs to an alliance, that will schedule PvP, have sieges, do Pve. You cant just log in and expect to be hand fed.

It's a tough world, and you need to make your own way!

+ the PvP is epic when you run into some fair game!
 
How's Darkfall doing these days then? Has it picked its self up from what it used to be? I remember it being very empty and not comming across anyone for ages.

It's never really been empty so to speak, it's just people staying in cities and afk leveling their skills up.

however since the first expansion and now the second one this is much less common and it's easier to find PvP and PvE.

me and 5 others went out before and ran into a group of 8 people and we got slaughtered but it was really fun!
 
I was considering re-subbing but I'm not sure on what to do. Last time I stopped playing because it just felt like alls you had to do was grind grind grind.

All MMO's you have to grind in, but now it's less of an issue because it's very easy to get your skill ups.

because their is no levels in Darkfall you just go out and do some PvE to get some gold and get your skill up.

Mob's have lower health, however due to the new expansion I don't know if they've made it easier, the same or harder yet.

I always found mobs easy to kill after the first expansion, you can kill Deathmages with 2-3 guys but pre patch you needed 6-8.

their is also roaming mobs now, wildlife.

but remember, even killing the lower end mobs you could still make money by skinning the corpses.

Meh, think I better give it a miss. Don't want to get sucked back into the grips of MMO's again. :D
 
Just thought I'd update this thread with some recent PvP video's, since many players left because using a Bow was pretty unmatched against magic, however since the expansion many players have made the switch (not me ;D) and found it to be very good, especially when wearing heavier armour sets.
