The Saboteur

Been reading over on the Saboteur forum.

We have identified the issue & we are running the current patch in QA (Testing) to make sure it is not causing any other issues. Once we are sure the patch is stable & fixes all the issues it will be released. The last thing we want to do is release a patch that breaks something else.

The game seems to be good fun, but you really need smoothness and it also has the annoying habbit of loading zones when it is supposed to be open world.

Must be something wrong somewhere, my system E4300 Overclocked to 2.10ghz at the moment, 2gbs, 8800GTS 320mb, auto detects to pretty much very high/high, shadows on, and it plays smooth as anything. Checked FPS and they're roughly 30-40, had no slow downs either.

Loading zones are annoying though, I just completed the sabotage perks, far easier to set off dynamite now but it's made it a bit too easy for my liking.


Also 1400x900.

Running very smoothly at maxed out detail for me on my system ( spec in sig ). Mind you, I game at 1440x900. Fun game so far, wouldn't say it was anything spectacular but it's keeping me occupied for now. :cool:
 
Started the game ok, played for 20 minutes, when I tried to save it locked on the menu screen and when I restarted the controller is not working properly. Hope the patch comes out soon as I was enjoying it when I played the game.
 
J!nx find it very hard to believe it runs better on your pc than mine. There isn't anything wrong with my pc as I have no problems with other proper pc games. Can you tell me how to check FPS? I think what is killing my graphics is that horrible white light hue which seems to shine off everything, its very weird looking whats the point?
 
Does anyone know if there is a way to "fast travel" around the map at all?. Or use trains or something like that?.

Although it can be fun, I'm finding it sometimes gets annoying to travel from one side of the map to the other at times. :D
 
For some reason the game is working for me now since i added a 2nd card for crossfire, there is still some gfx glitches every now and then but i'm starting to like the game the more i play it, i don't have todo any off those work around tricks to make the game playable.

I loved merc 2, once I got the thing to run on my PC, after that i was hooked on it.

I might get it, love the use of colours, through mirrors edge uses that method also to show were to go, but this uses it better tbh
 
Really enjoying the game, having to press alt tab and control alt delete and then escape when it freezes several times until it works again is a pain.

was looking to get a game for christmas and came across this , it reminds me a bit of a game i enjoyed on the ps2 which was about a prisoner of war in germany who had to escape the german prison camps , loved that game cant remember the name ,i think it was called prisoner of war?

anyway whats peoples thoughts on the saboteur , i was looking to get this or either assassins creed 2?
