Take note of the Red Arrow I drew ;) , Loads means that feature will be coming in January!

Ok dont flame me but im a real noob when it comes to pc stuff , but 9.11 drivers for me have been good i have 2 5770cf and rips through everything i throw at it crysis ,lfd2 ,ms flight sim , dragon age , dirt 2 . All maxed out at 1900 x 1080 rez :). all run nice and smooth . Just dont get how so many people can be moaning about crappy drivers , poor performance !

my rig is nothing special

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz @ 3.60GHz / H50-1 watercooling
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 X 2 CF /PCI-Express Graphics Card ( these cards are at stock settings ).
Corsair TX 650W ATX
Windows 7 ( 64bit)

When have any "performance" drivers lived upto expectations?

Apart from the nvidia "big-bang" drivers everything has been very incremental.

Geforce 3 drivers on 8500 release. 8500 drivers that doubled vertex performance on the 9x00 series cards release.

Forceware 66.93 almost doubled the performance of my 6800GT towards the end of 2004. Those were the best drivers Nvidia ever had, methinks. Long before either company started on this whole control panel malarkey :)

My guess is there will be some toys exiting prams come next Wednesday, especially from the 5770 crowd when it doesn't magically perform better than a 4890. ;)

4890 crossfire destroys 5770 crossfire

a single 4890 is miles betterthan a 5770

its a 1st gen dx11 card? what did they expect tbh

my rig is special <<fixed that
)

same here my crossfire 5770's perform brilliant, i see no need to update drivers;), and i cant believe that these drivers are going to magically transform your cards for you all, make or break lol

I run 2 asus top 4890,s in crossfire and nothing taxes them at all. and a bargin they are now also!!!!!! next gen is all well and good, but like other next gen release's you have to wait for the games to catch up!

Performance increase's mmmm you will be lucky to see 20% I will stick with my 4890,s untill i see them strugle! MW2 maxed out looks awsome.

If we get 20% more power from these drivers i will be shocked. I think at best we will see 5% more power, or they fix bugs/crossfire which will improve your FPS.

But what i would like to see is what % improvement does it have on one 5850 or 5770, but like i said maybe 5% at best.

Also cost more and has mature drivers, the 5770 was never meant to beat the 4890.

The £10 cost difference is more than worth it.

thats because the 5770 isn't meant to be compared to a 4890..

its more likely to be compared to a 4870.

That hasn't stopped the numerous "4890 or 5770" threads being full of "get the 5770, it'll be as good once Cat 9.12's are released" though.

when will people realise the cost of the 4890 when new wasnt £130, there different cards completly, if im not mistaken the 4890 was the top (single gpu) card in ati's lineup of last gen cards, this gen the 5870 is so far their top card, this would place the 5770 against the 4850 as i this was around the same price when released (i think)

I hope these are all that they say they are. the 9.11's are terrible for me. There are 3 -4 games I've found that are unplayable due to severe artefacting..
