most pirated games 2009

Mind you, to be fair...he also might not do that because, given that a decent number of internet users have deep psychological and sociological issues, theres a chance you might turn up and firebomb his house :D

I think that some one who pretends that piracy is akin to credit card fraud, and taping some one taking a shower, has some "issues" that need to be sorted out.

All i have to add to this thread is all pirates are SCUM bags:mad: and i never have and never will pirate a game because i like PC gaming:)

So you've never copied a song to a CD, never recorded anything of TV, never recorded the radio, never, ever, done anything illegal?

People who push drugs are scum, people who murder people are scum, peadophilles are scum, copying a game, dvd, etc. maybe illegal but doesn't make a person scum. If prices and distribution were better (take, for example MW1 and MW2 continual high price on Steam) then people would buy as demonstrated by the Steam XMas Sale!

If you have nothing to fear -- give me your real address and I'll shop you to the police and we'll see if they 'just let it go because the police think some thieving ain't worth conviction'.

But of course you won't do that, will you?

Come on Dave give us your real address, you've got nothing to hide so nothing to fear ;)

Full of my what?

As for throwning (?) keyboards and calling names, you appear to be resorting to name calling first, you know, you were the one that started with the "pathetic" names and such.

So, are you sure you are taking your own advice?

are you really going there? Kylew's is an acceptable use of an apostrophe using 'kylew' as a name. 'throwning' is a spelling mistake, which i corrected before you pointed it out. I didnt call you pathetic, christ on a bike you need to learn to read.

wasnt that a Clint Eastwood film? oh wait

:D

:D

What? "forum's" = forum is.

"kylews" is plural, not "w's" that's possessive or contraction.

I'm sure you'd find it anyway. :p

Well a quick forum search found the first chapter of his awful book, and him failing on the stand of dragons den there didn't seem like there could be anything i could find on google that could humiliate him more.

Even the dodgiest gay porn, when you really needed the money to pay of Tony the tag, would be less humiliating than that book.

Is it on this forum? I feel like having a good laugh. :D *goes to look*

I hardly game any more and when I do it's usually a download. I don't have time for long games and the shorter ones that I can get through in a day (MW2....) just aren't worth £20-30 for a days play.

If I played games more then I expect I'd download as much unless a game was really good. There are so many worthless games, fewer demos than there used to be (big failing) and once you actually have a game then there's little incentive to purchase and go legit unless it's an online one or you see one of the Steam bargains.

Piracy is just so easy, convenient and risk free. I'm quite certain that half the people getting angry against it download themselves and the other half just aren't competent enough at doing so.

Good read but seriously there are more important issues in the world than piracy, ie politicians and governments stealing our money and feeding us with lies.

Not so sure about that...the last bit anyway.

By those figures, every single person who is against downloading would either have to be doing it themselves or not know how. I dont think thats quite right, admittedly theres most likely a portion who do it themselves or dont know how, but I dont think every single person who is against it would fit into 1 of those 2 categories.

Pedantism though :)

I get my music from itunes/online/HMV.

TV SKY/itunes/blockbusters/iplayer

I listen to radio in the car and at home

So the answer is no to your Q:)

As for prices that has nothing to do with it if all games where 50p there would still be people with the attitude well i can get it for nothing:mad:

Hey thats not fair :) Legitimately worried now ..

I do still appreciate what you did for me and haven't forgotten -- this is just a bit of healthy banter to pass the (boring work) day away!

If you threaten to release my personal details here (I know you know them) I will instantly 100% collapse my argument and give in, so please don't do it! If you want me to say 'I lose, you win' in exchange for keeping my private details that you have private -- ok -- I will and leave this thread altogether.

If however you realise this is just basically - bottom line - some bored lads arguing about stuff for mild entertainment -- please leave my real name/address out of it! (please!). It's just slightly heated exchanges because it's a little more interesting then 'please post a picture of your dog/cat/girl/computer'! harmless!

...

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

For me, Steam has negated most of the advantages of piracy. The holiday specials in particular led me onto an impulse buying spree, purely because it was such good value. Now if all devs released demos for their games, it would completely nullify any argument for piracy.

In the MW2 case, I cancelled my plans to buy upon hearing about the dedicated server debacle. Yes, I did pirate it, played it a bit and got bored, so I uninstalled the game and deleted it all off my hard drive. Judging by the comments of others who did buy the game and play the multiplayer, it was money well saved.

If the game did have a demo, I wouldn't have felt any need to pirate. Ditto for GTA IV, which ran at about 15fps on lowest settings on my computer :(

you'll always get people like that, similar to people who live off benefit for no other reason than they can. Infact the two probably go hand in hand some what. It would significantly decrease piracy though, i'm sure of it.

Have you ever borrowed a game from a friend? Lent a game to a friend? A game, music CD? DVD? Bluray?

Ever read the small print on a disc? "No unauthorised lending" etc.

How about bought media secondhand? They regard that to be just as "bad" as piracy.

lol I'm going to have to sue you now, as the shrapnel from my sarcasm detector exploding has severely injured me!

But seriously, if you expect a pirate to give up his address on the internet you must be certainly willing to do so if you think that is a legitimate argument.
