We had a few family friends round and my Dad decided to do a wine quiz where we had to guess the country of 6 wines. They were all bloody horrible though

Nah, Well not not that i know of.
I went to school with him, His family was completely loaded but you could never tell because he was so down to earth
I don't particularly like wine. I've had all sorts, from the very cheap stuff to the seriously expensive, and in a 'blind taste test' I would be unable to tell you which was which.
When I was younger I worked for Andersen Consulting, and whilst living in Cannes I was invited to a party at one of the Senior Partners for the firm who lived in Monaco. These guys are seriously wealthy, for those who are impressed by that sort of thing.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I sampled some 1992 Screaming Eagle. I wasn't particularly bothered by it, but the wine aficionados said it was very good.
You should try it if you're serious about wine.
