Wheelie bin doubles as public toilet

It doesnt sit in the bin either, theres a bio matter mulch at the bottom, the enzymes in the pee turn it into compost.

I personally think its a bloody brilliant idea.

How often do you leave the bin out of the front of your house?

i would have thought once a week or so... people go out drinking much more often than once a week. Not only that but when you do leave your bin out its normally in the week... ours are collected on a wednesday! and in most cases we take the bins out in the morning when we head off to work, then bring them back when we come home!

just seems like a lot of thought and funding into something thats not solving anything. I'll leave it at "nice idea, but no thanks Mr Swiss".

its not for the general public to have... they are not advocating replacing wheelie bins with these... lol :D

councils may wish to buy a couple of dozen and pop them out on a weekend.

Stupid idea.
If I pee in a bush, it's going into the soil.
If I pee in a bin, it's sat there in the bin, stinking and stagnating.

Theres no difference, the reason public urination was illegal was as far as I was aware an exposure thing.

If they had public crappers every so often I wouldn't mind however, I got about halfway through a 20 minute walk back from a mates the other day and I'd never needed a poo so bad in my life. It was a real photo finish, It was actually starting to slowly force out as I walked down my street. :D

Yes, have you never used one of those public porta loo things. It's not as if anyone can see you and it's not as if school buses are around at 2am.

I remember those from uni at Bristol! What they don't show in that picture is a group of drunk giggling girls daring each other to run over and have a look!

If they put this on my bin I will be modifying it to include a penis guillotine. Let's see who's brave enough to take a leak in a bin once that idea catches on!

Seriously though, this is a ridiculous idea if it is intended for use on residential bins. Who wants to be getting covered in urine when they're taking their bins in?!

Orrrr they could just have portaloos! ... that would be a better idea! \o/
