Right,

Important car this is, for Ford, and I guess a lot of people who have been looking forward to it.

If I'm honest I'm quite disappointed, doesn't seem 'daring', and is certainly not conservative. So it's sitting in the middle looking a little dodgy...maybe korean? It's certainly a marmite car, however, we all know it will sell bundles.

However my worries of the exterior are quashed with the quantum leap of the the interior (of the one shot anyway, will be a different story when in production and they decide what bits will be tacky.... they WILL have tacky crap bits...), it's similar to some US Fords which I've been in and they have been very nice. Very happy to see the MyFord system, HUGE screen and all the gadgetry supposedly to arrive with it.

Expect a whole host of PowerShift Transmissions (DCT to you and me), uprated 160PS 2.0 Diesels, 80-100PS 1.0 Turbo, and obligatory 1.6 Turbo somewhere in the lineup. On the way is the 2.0 Turbo 200PS engine which you MAY see in a downtuned form for the standard car, most possibly tuned higher for the ST. (Referred to as EcoBoost, Direct Injection and Turbo basically).

Anyway here's the shots, lemme know what you think.

I do hope this grows on me, but at the moment its not very nice! Lets take a look at that LOVELY rear lamp :

I'm a big fan of the interior though! Just confirmed it that there are no paddles, it's a rocker button on the left side of the shifter :(

Oh and they better sort out that Handbrake position!

Interior might take some getting used to. But no doubt it'll be a fantastic car for the money. Looks wise, it's moving away from what it was like the Mondeo and Fiesta and they look good.

Looks like a big Fiesta - which is exactly what it should be like. Nice work :)

Really like it, be very interested in seeing the ST varient, also the engine options seem interesting.

What would a 1.0l turbo feel like drive?!

want........that..........interior

Give it a few years to depreciate in price and hopefully it might be a realistic buy for my next car.

OMFG...it's a Kia Ceee'd

They've ruined the headlights, the rear lights are ridiculous, and it doesn't look purposeful anymore from on.

Ford can't design for ****.

I'm not sure about it, interior looks great, and it's not a bad looking car outside either, but I think I prefer the current shape.

Has hints of Seat Leon about it too the more I look at it.

Is it just the photos or does it appear to be quite big? Agree on the mish-mash looks of most modern cars. Interior does nothing for me, but then i'm not interior snob.

Interior looks fab and the front is pretty nice, rear looks a bit bland though.

Why is there suddenly a trend to have most of the bumper painted but to leave a tiny bit at the bottom? Never understood that.

I really quite like that, although the interior looks quite cluttered to me, still decent looking car. :)

Sudden trend? They've been doing it since at least the 80s. ;)
