I thought World at War came out before Modern Warfare? There's no excuse for it if it was after. You'd think they'd have kept hold of it and improved it before releasing, knowing how much better Modern Warfare was

Hmm? I'm sorry Gilly but I don't understand where you're coming from there. You have to agree that if anyone should have held onto and improved anything, it should have been Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 2 is easily the best COD game I've played (which, admittedly, only includes MW2, MW, WaW and COD2). In fact, it is the best FPS game.

I agree, Modern Warfare 2 is the best Call of Duty so far. It doesn't remotely resemble the series' roots anymore, but it's still a hell of a game, and other franchises should take a few leaves out of its book.

A CoD set in Vietnam should be really good. I don't think we get anywhere near enough Vietnam games. The last good example was Battlefield: Vietnam and that was several years ago.

I could have sworn it was Obsidian Entertainment that was going to take over the rotating CoD development though. I've no idea where I got that from however..

I'm not sure on the 'Nam bits. You weren't there maaan...

It's all tunnels and jungle. Will be difficult to get a good feel of the game.

I remember that. It was the first game I played which had iron sights, and I remember thinking at the time that more games should have it! Really good multiplayer too.

i would also love to see the return of the sniper rifles with iron sights!!!

the reason Cod 1 and WaW are great is because it's so easy to weapon balance Ww2 weapons, 1 shot kill rifles against machine guns that can't do long range for toffee. This is why I'm not the biggest fan of CSS and Mw2, snipers can be outsniped by a machine gun etc, and the whole carrying a machine gun as a 2nd weapon, if you want a sniper great, but like on the old CoD be prepared to have to have a pistol

Please never put CS and MW2 together, they may both have modern weapons but play completely different.

It's funny how people complain about COD series nowdays, it's still the best series ever, almost every single COD game delivers. Companies are there to make $$$ and milking same franchise is nothing new, just check what happened to guitar hero series.
