The teacher managed not to cover this in enough detail and I'm stuck on this question:

Given a poisson distribution: X~Po(n)
If P(X=5) = P(X=4)+P(X=3), find the value of n.

Any help?

Cheers!

Doesn't matter anymore. Someone somewhere else who doesn't try and make a joke out of absolutely everything showed me how. And thanks Jay Psi.

How can you ask for help with a pretty simple A level maths question then insult someone's intelligence?
