ahhh so everyone you see at the mission select type portal you could be fighting with or against them in the next game.

is there a seperate place for pve games? im assuming pve is where you'd get mats for crafting?

yes, when you press 'U' for the mission screen the right side is where you select your PvE mission.

I'm in the same situation really - just started playing yesterday but I'm learning things slowly...

I'm playing recon at the moment... does anyone know how to avoid getting marked when you activate invisibility? If activate invisibility and get shot I turn pink and I think that means I'm visible - how long does that last and is there anyway to turn it off when I get marked?

I think there is some kinda starting information on the GA forums but i couldnt see it properly.
 
Bit the bullet and bought this last night, all downloaded and ready to go for when i get home from work. Anyone got some links to newbie guides or something similar that i can read beforehand?
 
It's very easy to get in to - Do tutorial, join a match, shoot folk.

Grab Tals / cHk4 on Steam & they'll sort you out with Steam Group + Agency invitation, join vent and we'll get a team going and do some PvP.
 
Excellent, either shoot me an invite on steam (tals) and i'll add you to the steam group or post your steam id :) Most of us are in http://www.doom-guild.co.uk/ this agency. If you go to the Agency room in the Dome and apply to join Doom (fairly straight forward) then one of the officers can accept you. Just post in here as well that you have done it to remind CH4 or myself to check as the applications page does not remind us of outstanding invites :) The agency page in options (escape key) gives vent info once you are in.

I'll be on a little bit tonight but I suspect not as much as I would like. Should be on lots tomorrow night :)
