*****The Official Aliens Vs Predator 3*****

footage looks to have captured the essence of what made AvP on the Atari Jaguar and AvP2 on PC so good, however the textures look just as old :eek: can't wait for this game and I pray it's decent !!

Yeah as I was watching that I was thinking "why have they just re-made AVP.... again?"

The situation appears the same, the corridors look the same (in the future all buildings will be identical), the whole thing looks just like it did when I played the prequels.

Where is the invention? We've had scanners, flares, guns, aliens and predators before. What's new?

Fairplay FoxEye, you just aint got a good thing to say about this game have you? I would suggest you reserve judgement until you ahve actually played the game? :cool:

You've judged the entire game of 10 minutes of footage on a different format. For me it looked like everything I wanted in an AvP game. The tenseness, the beeping of the scanner, basically, I know I'll be **** scarred after 10 minutes but it's so worth it.

I imagine when there's new footage of the predator you'll be disappointed because it's the predator in an AvP game - bah have they no invention - etc. If you look at AvP now - and I loved the game at the time - it has aged very badly. The corridors look nothing like that - mainly because the graphics are now very poor.

Seriously I can't understand why you're contributing to a thread that's mainly got Aliens / Predator fans in it and is looking forward to what should be an absolutely superb game.

This is putting me off a it really.

That's cheap for Steam and a free half decent game thrown in as well. The big A have it for just £17.99.

Seems too cheap to me, if it's a good game then there's no complains about the price. But it's just feels like they are trying to cash in on the pre orders because it might not be that great.

Hope I am wrong though.
 
I'm still on the fence with this, going to have to wait for a demo. But i do really want to like it. *hopes* :)

why would you pay more to buy from steam when the retail copies are also added on steam by default?

Anyway the game looks better than i thought it would
 
Mmm that marine campaign is looking delicious. I was tense watching it, waiting for the first alien to appear. As long as the experience is like that and its not 'zomg cutscene/camera shot, here is an alien creeping up on you! sort of style then it should be great. I want to be permanently on my toes during the marine campaign tbh.

Is there some way I can add ***official*** tot he title now? Lol anyone now a moderator who can close the other one or merge them?

Wish steam offered it for £17.99 witht he 3 skins, not fussed on the "free" game!
