What resolution is the HD video on itunes?

1080p without gpu acceleration would require a decent processor.

It might have a dedicated chip for such things but YouTube is generally 720p.

I will never understand why Apple don't provide a live stream for these events, it would save so much faffing about.

Purely marketing reasons surely? People are far more excited over a few leaked audio streams/pictures than some boring webcast. It adds to the mysterious air they want to portray.

Not impressed with the device really, if I want to look at a webpage quickly I'll use my iphone or Macbook.

AFAIK there is no Intel hardware in this iPad. Annoying they can waste R&D and make this device play HD Youtube when their $1000 plus machines cannot play it properly.

Flash is the issue, the YouTube client on this would bypass flash.

Back in 2000 Apple used to stream the Macworld conference but stopped it soon after. I remember it being awfully slow, and I guess everything just gets choked.

iPad looks good, but need to hear tech specs and price really.
