BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

I like the smoke effects (it definitely adds to the game), the general sense of confusion and the sound.

The sniper gun is silly and the engineer gun , well you might as well be firing BB's

It's got a lot of promise

BF BC2 has exceded my expectaions so far, they just need to sort friends and server browser.

Don't get me wrong, MW2 is a decent game and we've had some fun games playing it but comparing games, in my opinion BC2 is by far better, even in its beta stages.

Plus the fact you can swap your weapons and kits in-game is a nice bonus!
 
Been playing last night and this morning, and its awesome imo. definately lives up to the hype.

At first i got a few CTD trying to use the server browser. After that i managed to get in a game very quickly via the quick join thing. Servers i have played on have had no lag issues, and i havent been disconnected yet.

The game feels a lot like BF2 imo, but the combat is more focused on one area. Somebody earlier said that the map was small. This is NOT the case. Once the attackers blow up the objectives a new area down the road unlocks of a similar size to the first area. There are 4/5 areas in total i cant remember. I have found that only about 50% of the time attackers manage to get past the first area so this might be why you havent seen the rest of the map. Graphics look pretty nice to me running on medium with a radeon 4870 and a c2d e6550 on stock.

your beta key is locked to your EA account not to the installation of the game :)
 
so to clarify before i pre order you only get a beta key if you pre order from steam or play, just i usually pre order my games form game, garunteed a day early and have allways turned up, pplus im a stickler for having a disc for my money.

Pre order from Play - then cancel your order when you get a key.
 
*falls off my chair in amazement* This is the first game without a Windowed option that Alt+Enter actually worked for!

Er, you sure thats possible? It sounds pretty fraudulent to me.
 
im now finding myself screaming at my screen saying "DONT ****ING TURN AROUND AND DRIVE AWAY FROM THE ****ING TANK SHOOT THE ****ER YOU NOOB"

I dont normally do this when a noob is driving the tank :(
 
Finally got in after some mincing.

Realised that accidentally leaving utorrent running on my laptop seeding the beta, probably wasn't helping :p

It's obviously buggy to hell but it's bloody great.

Anyone cancelling a preorder based on experiences with a beta version needs their head checked.
 
I find aiming to be very clunky and the whole beta just feels like Battlefield Lite.

Fun for a bit but don't feel like I'd stick with it too long.
