I think there's unlimited ammo for the pistol regardless of difficulty.Anyhow have restarted on "Easy" level, problem is it may be *too* easy, as there seems to be unlimited ammo, at least for the pistol.
Have to admit I'm struggling with this in SP mode, even on medium level.
Have to admit I'm struggling with this in SP mode, even on medium level. Can't get beyond the first marine mission, stuck in the blocked corridor with what seems like hordes of aliens attacking. The sentry gun packs up after a bit leaving you with 5 or 6 aliens to fight hand to hand - despite the training blurb advising against this (for obvious reasons). A couple of times I've just held out long enough to start running towards the lift but if you stop to administer health, another alien just gets you. (And you can only carry three health packs anyway).
Fared slightly better on the Predator level but still get spammed with aliens, the laser weapon runs out of power after a few blasts and, well it's just not fun TBH.
Being Steam DRM I can't even sell it on to someone else.
I'm usually pretty good at FPS, even managed to finish COD MW2 on medium level. The old Alien Trilogy on PS1 or side scrolling Predator on the Amiga was better than this.
have they balanced the alien in mp at all? its way to weak in the demo
Question for anybody else running more than one monitor...
Normally when I run a game... I can still see my desktop on my other 2 monitors, but with AvP, my other two screens go blank.
Anybody else getting this or is it just me???
MeMeMeMe... thats how I want mine, just tried left 4 dead, in case it was something in the latest NV drivers, but it works fine, can still see my apps on the other monitors, so its just AvP that does it???
I have also noticed, that when I run the game, after a minute or so, it will drop to desktop and there is a screen saying that the system is running slow and do i want to turn off visual settings etc... every time i say no and remember.... but every time it does it again??? anyone else or is my pc going nutts!!!
Try verifying your files over steam. Very high textures and high AA might exceed the VRAM space on your card. Make sure your sound card is set not to exceed 48Khz.The game seems enjoyable but using a core i7920 and a gtx295 how do I get rid of the bloody stuttering?
I have tried DX9 and DX10 but it's still there.
Is it a streaming from the HDD problem?
Another bug...
Apart from the fact you don't seem able to run more than one campaign at a time, I restarted Marine missions earlier on today and went through several Checkpoints, however on going to resume this evening it is loading a saved Predator campaign from yesterday. So 30 mins of battling through the marine section is lost...
What a crock of poo.

What I don't get is and this is going from other peoples reactions;
Combined, all of the single player campaigns equate to approx 8 hours gameplay. Now correct me if im wrong, this seems to be the average duration for any recent FPS game release.
Secondly, Rebellion are offering an epic on-line experience. Granted servers aren't on-line yet but in time im sure there will be thousands.
I think people are expecting to much ?
