£59.17p for VAT because its imported, its NOT applicable for import duty [phones are excepted] I payed Google ~£343 IIRC. Don't order the charger with it. Its too expensive and is also slapped with an import tax. Get a BlackBerry micro usb charger of the bay or online its MUCH cheaper that way :)

OP maybe confirm these details with others then add details on pricing and ordering to the original post?

Not heard of any die yet, but then again, its only been 2 months.... Besides, if it gets even a little bit dodgy send it back to HTC - 1 years warranty, use it :D :P

An interesting side note to this is that rooting claims to invalidate your warranty, however some people are having some success getting hardware faults repaired under warranty even though they are rooted, the thought being that it is the software warranty thats invalid, but anything caused by a hardware defect, not as a result of the software being modified, is still covered by warranty. Seems a bit hit and miss though depends who you speak to at HTC it seems :(

I have confidence in HTC to have built it properly, and have rooted now, risking not being able to get a repair under warranty.

With regards to the trackball the only issue is keeping them bare in your pocket, keeping them in the pouch and everything should be fine :) As I said earlier I'm just going off experiences of BlackBerrys with regards to trackball failures :)

If you're lucky it'll sneak out today and be with you on Monday [I ordered mine on a Friday and it was :) however, so did my mate, in fact, he ordered 15 minutes after me - he was jealous - and his didn't get dispatched till the Monday, and didn't arrive till the Wednesday :o ]

Once its dispatched you'll get a DHL tracking number via Google, you will never visit DHL's website so much as you're about to when your phone is in transit :p

A few of useful apps to get you started:

APNDroid - Essential if you want to turn 2g/3g data off easily with a toggle switch [If you're approaching your data fair usage or if you wanna save your battery]

NetCoutner: Splits data usage into cell and wifi and into periods of 1 day, 7 days and a month, will reset each month on the date you specify. Again useful to ensure you don't go over your "fair usage" of data

Battery Life or similar: Far more detailed widget that the stand icon that appears in the top corner of the screen

Taskiller or Advanced Task Killer Free: Save your battery some more and kill programs after you've finished with them

:)

Ordered mine around 5pm, Wednesday, and it had departed from Cincinnati this morning. Probably won't get mine until Monday now.

I ordered a charger for the HD2, from amazon and it was only a fiver with free delivery.

Cheers re NetCounter. I was wondering how I'd know how much data I'd used via my home wifi and via 3g. Nice one. :)

Mine left Cincinnati this morning too! Must be on the same flight! ;)

I'm pretty sure DHL delivery on Saturday though, just not Sunday.

Can I have a link to the charger please!

Those looking for the Nexus on a Vodafone contract, can you wait 30 more days?

http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/26/nexus-one-coming-to-vodafone-uk-in-april-says-telegraph/

The Telegraph is claiming an April release date, with price plans similar to the iPhone
If they match them exactly I'd looking at buying a Nexus sim free and getting a Vodafone 12 month sim only plan off their website, it may well work out cheaper that way, especially if the contracts are 24 months ;)
