What was your first Car??

1984 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Pop Plus - I was an idiot in it, on one occasion I crashed it into the side of a moving articulated lorry.......

Fate.

First car before I could legally drive
Morris 1000 Traveller

First car once I'd got my licence
Mk1 Escort 1300GT in white...
It got wrapped round a gas tank by a school mate on my farm one evening though, as we were dicking about pretending the farm track was a rally stage.

Wicked cars went like hell, my m8 had one all bored out to 1410 I think with close cut g/box. Used to have XR3i's off the lights no problem!!

Slipperz :)

Dad used to prepare cars for rally, did a few minis.

There was one he prepared for a 1000cc class, got a fresh head casting and machined it for bigger valves at a steeper angle to fit. Came very close to the power of a well tuned 1275, and made a terrific bang when it lunched itself after a few events. :D

My first car was a 1991 Nissan Micra LX, I crashed it into a lamp post and wrote it off, very lucky I wasn't seriously injured or killed.

Passed my test in 2002 - started with an E-reg Peugeot 306 1.6 GLX

Got rid of that after about 3 months, it was terrible.

First car, Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 05 plate cost me 4.8k, sold a year later with an extra 20,000 on the clock for 4.5k.

2nd Car, Focus ST-2 cost me 10.5k, still going strong!

Bit of an upgrade, didnt start to drive until is 28, 31 this year!

I think it was 1 L, no idea how much insurance was as it was just added to the fleet insurance.

Had a 'Pembrokeshire MOT' on it. Was given an MOT providing I promised not to take it out of Pembrokeshire :D

2003 Honda Civic 2.0 Type S. After learning in a 1.1 it was like starting all over again but it was cheap!

care to elaborate on that?

I tought they were recently reliable? or did you buy a really abused example? :D
As soon as I bought it I spent over £1000 fixing various bits and pieces, including 2 front coils, shocks and control arms.
It's also had a new outer CV joint, various boost pipes and then pads, discs all round, and both winter and summer tyres.

Consumables is one thing, but I've had to do everything at a dealer as I can't do anything myself.

Oh, it needs a new Aircon compressor too, my heated seat no longer works, the sunroof rattles like no other and the front suspension is clunking.
And as of last week, the turbo might be on its way out too

It also needs a full respray.
It had a 'parking accident' earlier in its life and wasn't resprayed very well, resulting in the paint cracking and peeling around the skirt.

My first car was an Escort 1.6. I was 17

Living in the dark depths of Cornwall I spent a lot of time driving everyone around, and I think I did around 30,000 miles in this car in around 2 years (bare in mind there are no motorways in Cornwall!).

The car came to an untimely end, when the lack of ABS caused a rather large problem outside a farm that had just spread muck all over the road :(

It was rather expensive to insure, and after that I moved to a T-Reg 1.9Tdi Renault Laguna, which was around 1/2 the price to insure.

It managed to survive a pizza delivery lady trying to destroy it in Exeter town centre:
